What will you miss?

I think that I will miss DPM's the most. Getting to share a room with another dude, getting certified, breakfast with others, I saw alot of bacon on those buffets and that is always good. BACON! I also will miss my fusion.

I will miss many things but wearing that dog collar at meetings made me feel important. And getting that packet of info on check-in. Oh and the help desk, those guys will be missed. And also my RD and every other RD I had, where do they find these A-holes. And I don't want to forget I-Learn, D&I training, and Destruction notices. Followed those to a letter, and in the last years sampling had been very rewarding. But the most missed part of my life with Novartis will be the ever so valuable ride-alongs with my DM. I cant put into words the value I got from those days in the field and how much more effective I was as a rep.

few things i'll miss:

1) being thanked every 2 seconds at meetings
2) filling out my own fcrs
3) hearing that every bit of news whether it be good or terrible is an opportunity
4) telling doctors that i have no samples of exforge hct and when i do it will be one box of each strength that will last one week
5) trying to get a doctor to believe that the hypertensive diabetic is "different" and that they need greater raas supression by using dual raas therapy
6) free car and gas
7) bringing a lunch to an office and seeing the face of one disappointed receptionist who didn't get her cookies and brownies and who shouldn't be at the lunch anyways
8) having goals that almost no one reaches so the company can save money on bonus payouts and then hearing CEO tell us profits are up 10% and everything is great
9) having stock options that i'll never be able to cash out
10) pretending that i give a full detail to every doctor i put a call on because no one can admit the reality of what this industry has become

All this and MORE.

1. The numerous years of coaching I received and the ride-a-longs. Thanks! That was always helpful...NOT!

2. Meetings where we role played, did business plans, and strategized using falsely collected data from IMS or whomever! Seriously, it never happened in the real world.

3. Teleconferences. One way conversations and no engagement from the participants. What a waste of time!

4. Lunch and Learns...I'm really going to miss trying to please the non-entitled staff.

5. Counterparts who thought/think they are the reason doctors write! Really, get over yourself. They like almost EVERYBODY from EVERY COMPANY.

6. Being directed to spend, spend, spend. Anybody with half a brain knows you don't spend money, just to spend. This is why our economy is in a crisis.

7. Receiving our goals and budget over halfway through the quarter/trimester. Why not just wait a few more weeks until it's over and then you can decide how much money to payout on bonuses.

8. Diversity and inclusion. Why did you feel the need to have all of these diverse members leave us monthly voicemails? Who cares! Need I state anymore???

9. Class Action Lawsuits. I'm going to miss receiving easy money for the actions of the idiots at NPC.

10. Collecting a paycheck these next couple of months for doing nothing. I think I will be in the best shape ever for Spring Break. Thanks Novartis for giving me fitness and health!

I am truly going to miss the Biotch and Doctor detail shown us at each sales meeting on a particular product. "Dr. as you know" (while pointing to the picture in the sales aid). I would rather be strapped to a chair and forced to listen to fingernails on a chalk board!

Speaking of helping others be more effective.....As a FLM, I will miss the valuable coaching that I provide to representatives who:
1) Can't sell for shit
2) Can't think on their own
3) Have no accountability for their results
4) Screw up their expense reports and have to resubmit over and over again
5) Don't work hard
6) Act poorly to their teammates
7) Are unprofessional
8) Blame everybody else for their situation
9) Tell you they want to do well and develop, but their actions don't match their words
10) Feel they are entitled to everything without working for it.

To the FLM:

What valuable coaching did you give your reps and where did you get your coaching skills, Walmart? It is FLM's like you that are so FULL of yourself that your reps tell you what you want to hear and do otherwise because they are fed up with your self indulged back patting!

If your reps had any respect for you or your leadership, your negative comments would have never been made about those on your team that YOU hired (unless you came in to a team already hired to which you poisoned with your lame idealology and pitiful arrogance claiming you are all that.) A real "Team Leader, Manager of people" would not post such garbage as you about your team. It clearly describes you as a manager....a douchbag!

There are great FLM's, Area Sales Managers and the like at this company that do not drink the Koolaid, that have great results, have teams that respect them, post good numbers (when managed care allows), and do not/would not speak of reps as you have, and support their reps when numbers are out of their district/area control...but then again, the reps would not post comments about their manager since he/she is not a glory grubbing asshole like you! FO and get a life dillwead!
