What were your impressions of the Cattle Call in Atlanta (Oncology)

No, I have also spoken to several others and they are in the same boat. All of the non-selected candidates seemed to have been notified one way or another ( either email or phone call). I do realize this is a large expansion but many of us will have offers from other companies by the time they get their act together.
I doubt ( for legal reasons) that HR can call a candidate and give them a verbal offer without documentation. Either this company is extremely unorganized and arrogant or they have a genius master plan to keep everyone out of the loop until the last possible moment.

Such a weird process. Haven't heard a weird, you think once you get into the Oncology space you'd be treated like an adult? Nope. Primary Care mentality.
Its Merck, a shithole beginning of your career company, this is what I would expect. Anyone over 40 working at Merck isn’t god enough to go to real specialty companies.

over a month after interview, i finally got a response. "not enough pod & Oncology experience".....i have been in oncology for 4 years, SMH!

Good luck to those still in the running

Nope, all offers went out. If you haven't heard anything, chances are you were second choice and they're going to burst your bubble by Friday. I'll never do another strung out cattle call again. Ridiculous and your Oncology leader Bruce was the most obnoxious part of the entire process.

Agreed! What an unprofessional way of handling candidates! A month to get feedback?!?! I was told i didnt have enough team experience!?!? What does that mean...that i dont know how to stumble over 3 other team members in the same offices!!

We only hire the best, obviously you did not make the cut. Hard to accept obviously, but keep your head up it doesn't mean you are worthless. Try one of the second tier Pharma companies, or contract sales...

Moronic statement. Hire the best. HA! All these companies hire who they think they can get along w/ and will roll over w/ coaching. If you present as a strong personality or w/ the ability of thinking on your feet I promise you you will not be hired.

Not enough team experience is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. This Manager hired a friend or a cutie pie he wants to stare at.
