Just few years ago Xeljanz was the place to go and be with Pfizer. What the hell has happened!
A big time well known recruiter who is calling about Biogen jobs, said she has more experience Xeljanz reps resume than any company. Only thing i told her is heard its worse than Primary Care with marketing driven from new VP and all about activity & calls a day with tons of metrics reports.
Not just reps wanting hell out, the brand team had more opening than swiss cheese scene new VP from marketing and European leadership that do not have clue about US mkts or leading ( Pres been in 10 jobs in 15 yrs & Global Pres 16 jobs in 24yrs--- so not in one place more than 24 months to learn any indepth skills)
VP has never sold anything in his life.

Sad what has happened to a once great division.

The PC mentality and business model of Derm started influencing Xeljanz few yrs ago and began bringing the high strategic specialty business model to an activity metrics only model encouraged buy the head of marketing who is now out of position as the VP.
The double expansion blew up the kingdom.

HQ leadership has no clue what they are doing and poor decisions are counter productive and demotivating.
Exec European leadership is clueless about the US business.
VP is out of position.
Backfilling positions with PC talent, promoting people with zero development and foundational skills cuz VP think it will help rep engagement & keep the mass exit of reps expanding.

Classical case study of poor leadership hiring and bad decisions on vital business issues- like more than doubling expansion rushing 60days hiring poor PC & GI reps.
Result is Best to Worse division overnight.

Culture has crashed into the abyss .
More micro than primary care.

Agree. Sr Leaders and VP think its the sorry bonus and merit structure but they have no clue it is the checking box activity driven culture with unrealistic goals! (4yrs til LOE and 25% goal increase??? Crazy)

Regardless of salary, people work for those who they enjoy & respect, and where they have FUN . This has not happened in over 2yrs and morale has rapidly has declined
 








Simple
It is a total Cluster F and toxic culture primary care culture the last 2 yrs. Poor hiring and bad decisions
Never thought I would say this but Internal Medicine is better than this missfit division with a VP so far out of position it is comical.
Who tells reps at NSM to go out and talk to other companies to get their market value.
Basically open door to leave .

Maybe it is a Trump style communication to get reps to take other jobs so they can downsize without paying severence

Wants marketing robots that dont think and has canned messages for reps

Nothing is going on & that's the problem.
Never witness a group of non qualified out of position leaders as the Pres & VP.
Their decisions & lack of field motivation have lead to the demise of what was one a fun and exciting division that most wanted to be a part of. Now you have 17 DMs and 100 reps who cant leave fast enough posting for competitors.
 












Total Cluster only looking at marketing data.
Now need more calls to increase sales they say so they are having Inflectra sell Xeljanz .
Sorry but most Inflectra reps are not good sales people. Might be good at contract skills but face to face selling, horrendous

Only going to get worse with the leadership making these decisions. I am sure Renvoq reps are excited poor sales reps will be mudding Xeljanz for them.
