What is with this place?

Obviously the one who is posting that they tape their managers is unaware of the legal ramifications. You can play the tape to management, put it on youtube or sell it to TMZ, but try and play it in a courtroom and see what that gets you. In most states it is inadmissable. Ask any attorney
So accutate... You cannot use any recorded calls in a court of law unless you stated this call is being recorded in th beginning of the call. It will not be permissable in court otherwise.

But if your manager is really that bad, others will substantiate your claims. There are good legal firms and those that specialize in pharma. The recording may help you or your attorney remember / describe situations and conversations.

Manager, Marketing Research
.
MR? Heck it is all of Sales and Marketing! have you counted the female Sales Directors lately? SS was only female SD over 40! Gone! Push them way out! Who is next? The only one left is LG.? What about the commercial group? Rewatch the videos and presentations from the sales meetings and organization for the past 10 years! Male male male male Lynn a male and anther guy. Oh who saw the Hawaii Five 0 skit? Looks like Testosterone rules the roost. Come on Astellas organize an all female conference at least!

I left this place for devices because my mid Atlantic manager and his capital Nazi leader were the most secretive, incredibly passive aggresive, bullying fair weather friends on the block. Good to see nothing has changed since the day I left. I truly feel sorry for anyone who works for this place. Get out while you can.

Did anyone ever file? Class action? What's the class? What is the basis for filing a class suit?
Yes - someone at Home Office filed, but not a class action suit. But if a few more people jump on board it could be a class action. Several other pharmas have been hit in the last few years with gender bias suits - everyone knows this industry is an "old boys club." Should be pretty easy to prove, per prior posts about lack of female leadership - LG the only female VP in APUS and only 1 female in marketing above director level. We'll see what the upcoming shakeup does to the org chart, but I'm not holding my breath!!

Disagree. There will be major changes and reforms pro female.

There will be changes and it will be "pro female"? Don't make me laugh. It is 2016. Pro-female? What does that mean? Does it mean equal pay? Does it mean equal opportunity in the boys' club? Until you are ready to publicize pay scales, under subpoena or not, "pro-female" is just a pacifier and nothing is really going to change.

So true. Someone made a comment about One-half Astellas. Lol! I was only hoping for more female representation in leadership. Commercial looks like a frat club. I can't imagine the few females in leadership are happy about the latest developments unless they play fantasy football or golf. They don't seem like they will look for equal opportunity in the boys club. And isn't it always in the press about the systemic bias against women in industry? You might think legal and HR would be on top of it. Anyhow I heard that Astellas may look at what is happening in the West and corporate office?
