what is the Gallup?

Could someone please email me the questions ASAP, needed to prepare for next week. This is my kids email, dont even ask!

Thanks for saving my life!

I don't think your life is worth saving. You want answers to an example based personality test. It's like asking for the answers to a Cosmo survey. Kill yourself.

BTW, I passed last week. SUCK ME BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!

Hey fuckface, get it through your thick fucking skull that even if you manage to somehow pass this, and if you get brought in for a face-to-face, you have to look a real person in the eyes and answer their questions. Are you going to ask for those in advance from the 4-8 people you interview with? I can't tell you how many people I've interviewed who were obviously coached by their recruiter or pulled a stunt like this. Result: Passed Gallup/Turned the In-Person into an abortion of an interview.

Bottom line: you either have it or you don't. Since you think your life hinges on some random person faxing you questions that may or may not be on the Gallup, I would say you don't.

To all you others out there on this thread begging for the Gallup questions: stop wasting everybody's fucking time, sack up, and take the goddamn thing without having to go on some goddamn message board.

I took the Gallup test for Stryker recently. I passed. I do have to say that it was a very nerve racking. If you are someone who is not a quick thinker, you will not do well.
I do see the value of using tests like these, however, I don't think it paints a complete picture of who someone is or how well they sell. Some people can be intimidated taking these types of tests, yet be great sales people; therefore I don't think it's cheating to be prepared and to have real life situational answers in the back of your mind. Wish my recruiter would have prepared me. One other thing, your answers do not always have to pertain to work. They are looking for a pattern and a certain personality type.

I'm glad you understand. Starting the process to interview... how do I get a hold of the sample or review test for Gallup from any of you guys? Please help.

Well I took the 80 question phone Gallup Interview today...answered every question quickly and had a story for all of them. Thought I did ok. I don't think I did badly...but who knows. When will I know???????? Interviewer said I was very focused and answered every question quickly and said she didn't know how I would score but the results would be sent to Stryker in 24 hrs. Wow that was nerve racking. Honestly, I feel a huge weight lifted now that its over...well fingers crossed hoping to hear something soon. I'm told the manager is sent this information usually within two hrs of completion. Anyone know something I don't?

Please! the Gallup is the easiest thing in the world. If you really have the talent and the personality they look for, your golden. I passed it and thought it was really easy. You just have to be truthful, organized, consistent and have the go getter attitude. If you fake it and give answers that some loser emails you, your just setting yourself up for failure. Ultimately the job will make you miserable because you are not REALLY a culture fit. Stryker expects a lot and you better put out .....or your gone. If you don't want tons of pressure, consistently want more and cant handle long hours and hard work, then you can not play with the big boys. Go back to Pharma or some easy covidien job selling sutures
...just being real with you

Why would any of you want to work with an organization that BOUGHT some psycho babble BS from another company and uses it as their first line screening criteria?? Ding Ding Ding, that's an alarm bell.

I took the gallup last year , was told by the hiring manager that I got one of the highest scores he has ever seen.. You have to be a quick thinker , but you should do what I did.. What stryker is looking for is work ethic, competitor, persistence, leader ship, persuation, critical thinking, analitics, all u need to do is come up with 1 or 2 stories for each category write them down and have note cards by category.. When the person on the phone says "tell me about a time you had to use persuasion or tell me about a tine you had to analyze something in order to develop a plan.. You have the examples ready... Also after every example make sure u give what the results of your story was. Always think in star format and answer every question in star.. Situation, task , action, result
