Three words now, three words later (if you are smart)

1. Run Like Hell
2. Work for Google

To attain Goal No. 2, don't post publicly about your role. You will be found out. Further, see the inside and what you can change, what you can't. If you can't change it from the inside, pursue Goal No. 2. They love nutty people who just don't work out at Lilly.

From my experience in LRL BioTDR, it was a great place historically and for my first few years. However, the management in the last few years were scary. The two I worked for the Executive Director (JO) and the CSO (UK) were the creepiest people I ever worked for.
Dishonest, unethical liars both typical affirmative action poster children from some 3rd world sewer. I had nothing but contempt for them and every time I had to shake hands with them I felt like running to the bathroom to wash my hands with Lysol. Most of my co-worker's felt the same way. My advice: stay away, Lilly is a sinking ship.

The company deteriorates when the leadership devaluated it's values. This is based upon management having weak to no morales. To assemble a group of people like this over time is based upon the good people leaving and the rot flowing down from the top. Consequence liars, dishonesty, no value for the lower employees ( those actually working and making the money) and a self centered attitude which is not concerned about the company, the patient or fellow workers. Alas, the company in the mind of the worker is meaningless. SF

Yeah, check out the glassdoor ratings for scientist positions at Lilly. Three stars out of five. Because current employees nearly always give five stars (because they are poisoned by money money money above values values values), that makes three stars actually a much lower value., SF. Sorry I won't self-identify (yet) - will wait and see about 1/2 the company drop off the lemming cliff first. Then, they will truly need yours and my service ;-)

Oh be serious. Who in their right mind would ever go back there.

Nearly everyone worthy has a career that completely blossoms after leaving.

Or they retire broken-hearted. It's very sad how defeatist many retirees are. Very sad.

I was affected by reallocation errrr laid-off and it was the absolute best thing that could've happened to me! Im so much happier now then during my tenure with Lilly. Those DM's can and will ruin your professional career with forced rankings!!! I had several interviews where the hiring managers from other companies wanted to see my last 5 reviews. Get out before you get force ranked to low successful.

If only everyone from HR was so kind and selfless as you.

Force rank is gone.

Force rank is gone.
no it isn’t gone.... number 1 in each district to 12 th or 15th and the older you are the lower your ranking.. ADG knows all about ranking the oldies. Snow Flakes are moving on up in every district. This is the way it is because the longer you have been around you make way tooo much.. Keep in mind this is survival of Pharma and its only going to get worse with the Vicodin and codein problems that are about to hit. This will affect all pharma companies even the best ones like Lilly.
