I don't think they are. No contracts. VA and DoD have been shut down to reps. They can't make an impact like in the past.

I talked with a previous colleague who is with WSI now. He said they have contracts with several companies and are hearing about a couple of new ones coming soon. He also said that getting into DoD and VA's is tough, but good reps know how to do it. He seemed pretty happy with what he is doing.

I'm sure! You can't be too happy when you sell shit products like WSI's contracted crap! The VA and DoD has locked everyone out and WSI reps are not as polished as Pfizer, Lilly or any of the REAL pharma companies. If WSI has new contracts, then their really is a fool born every second.

Heard more $%^$@ about Dave Burnham. Guess he's turned into quite a piece of work! He used to be well respected and liked. Whether it's his greed or his insecurity of not working behind a corporate shield, the consensus is that he's a real piece of work. What a shame!

Interesting about Burnham. I heard that the sales team at WSI is actually managed by others and that he hasn't had much to do with the field for a couple of years now. Supposedly, he is more involved with the overall company and developing new business and divisions.

Bullshit! WSI can't develop new divisions because they are in and out of contracts so much, all their time is spent on ropeing in another dope!

Agree that the world for pharma reps is a whole lot different than a few years ago. However, WSI is still going at it and I understand is looking for a new rep or two.

Fed/gov reps were the slugs of the Pharmacia sales force. Big talkers and tiny doers!!

The only "Slugs" with Pharmacia was the DMs & the community sales reps! Pharmacia Government reps got the job done!
