What can we all do to help the company survive?

Is that so? Easy to say from an anonymous post, isn't it? Well, you know there is only one person who would reply to this, so man-up. You have something to say to me? Say it to my face.

"Nycomed is turning around"; "Things are gonna get better".

Yeah sure they are. If a senior VP is ready to square off and fight an employee, that place has got major problems. Further proof that Steve and the new exec's don't have a clue to how their management treats people (like everyone on this board posts all the time). I am sooo glad I got out of there when I did. It's nice actually enjoy

Ralph, you should know better. You should know not to fight employees, you should know not to wear that sparkly vest. I don't care what ur stylist tells you.

Ralph, if you don't want people making fun of you, perhaps you should just do your job instead of worrying about your fashion consultant. Try managing R&D for a start, stop shagging your direct report and get your nose out of Lothar's butt. Maybe then people would have some respect for you. Until then, everyone sees you as a joke.

From reading these boards, seems a new head of everything is needed!

not really, there are a lot of good people in the company who are working really hard for the good of the company. However, there are a few still at the top who are only out for themselves. They sow anger and discontent wherever they go and do nothing to improve the company. Everyone knows who they are. If you read through these threads, you will see three sets of initials repeated over and over. They are the baggage that needs to be removed. They are the roadblocks to the company's improvement. In spite of them, the company is showing signs of turning it around. Think how good it would be without the roadblocks. MS, MK, RL...you all need to go.

I don't know, but I think I see some positive changes happening. Is it enough? Is it too late? Did the right people come in? Did the right people go out?

I'm not sure of any of it. But change was needed and some change was made.

We'll see.

Are we being sold? Will we eventually close down? IMHO, probably, but not for a few years yet.

Meanwhile I get a decent paycheck, work with some people I like and am learning new stuff all the time. True the company is very demanding of my time and energy, no denying that. But I have a good boss who understands for the most part the difficulties we face and supports us.

I see no real downside to staying on as long as they want me. Yet.

Kudos! Subtract those three from this equation and it will be a guaranteed improvement.

Why do you presume that someone stating a fact about the worst of management is complaining or downsized? Do you really think that the people of Nycomed don't know what is going on? Really? Maybe it's you who has been downsized so you are just out of touch.

Sounds to me more like out of touch senior management

How's this for a thought from an OUTSIDER: spend more time working on improving and a lot less complaining. Those who ACQUIRE you won't put up with the complainers.

if we are truly being bought, then lets hope they will read these posts and see who has to go from management or they will suffer the same problems we have. just saying....
