Was there a positive spin on Metabolic?









So who makes the decisions on which representatives will be disadvantaged in a couple weeks in the metabolic division?
And then the lawsuit will start to fly

Nope.They will be almost random, and lawsuit proof. I went thru two at different companies. Age, tenure, success mean zip; what rules these decisions are that they are lawsuit proof.

Yup. My last go around was where you lived based on the geographic center of the new territories. The old territory lines were redrawn, the new bigger territories were how survival was based. In other words, you won't be able to predict squat.

You are right on the mark. Leadership / HR even hires outside consultant firms to review the layoff statistics to ensure they are bullet proof as far as any lawsuit. The old days of just getting rid of the old fogies is over. Now they statistically represent all HR 'categories' in the commensurate ratios. BTW all major companies do this. I know some consultants who do the deed. They are paid very well and this is a good career path to consider if you get canned.

Hahahaha...another guy who got laid off and is now pretending to be a hedge fund manager! You guys are rich.

Any investor with a brain knows that there is no validity to a site that allows for 100% anonymity. Also, there is no expectations of glowing reports from all you bitter and fired sample delivery drivers.

There may be 50 to 100 unique Allergan posters on this site (I'm being VERY generous) and the company has over 15,000, which is a pretty good statistic if this is your source to see employees lashing out. There's only about 50 of them...the company must be awesome according to your logic.

First of all you need a cooperating MD who will write up your 'disability'. The easiest is 'stress related pathology' where you demonstrate the job has caused undue heath problems such that you cannot work (full time or whatever).. Examples that have proved successful (ADA sanctioned) are high Blood Pressure induced in the work environment, sleep deprivation due to work place bullying, excessive-compulsive complex due to unrealistic demands by management, and induced bipolar behavioral pathology due to threatening management. These are just some successful paths to achieving tax free income until to reach your FRA (Full Retirement Age as defined by SSI).

You people on this thread obviously do not work in metabolic otherwise you would know that there is a layoff in metabolic probably today or in the next week where they are laying off One Rep in all territory with more then one. We have been waiting since the first of the year for this day to come. No information from home-office of management this metabolic division has become a total CF with an experienced managers who are left behind and are incompetent.

I'm 50+, my husband is retiring with a nice pension next year; Abbvie give me a package. But NOOOOOOOOO, I want to go, and there's many who will get cut that really need the job; doesn't make sense.

The recent managers were all passed over and they are very poor managers. They don’t know what there doing and it shows. Pathetic....
