Abbvie has not made ANY significant sales force reductions since its split from Abbott. They also have been singing the praises of HCV potential which have been grossly exaggerated. This is a one trick pony with Humira. Its inevitable that Metabolics will take a huge hit, its only a question of when. Those prior years of false predictions are irrelevant compared to the current environment. We have essentially given up on ANdrogel and are basing as sales strategy on DAW with Synthroid to support the huge salesforce. I am also prepared for the inevitable layoffs but am also well positioned with a nice vested pension in play as many of my legacy Abbott co-workers do. Bring it on! In the meantime we just shake our head, smile, and assume the passive aggressive position. What a great company!
