These posts are killing me. So negative. Has anyone seen the unemployment rate? There are people who have been out of work all year and still unemployed. My experience has been great. The hiring manager is amazing. Kept me updated every step of the way, checked in with me after each interview, and gave me a heads up on things to come.
I received my verbal offer this past Thursday night and verbally accepted it. I don’t know about max base salary for each role. I’ve heard $120,000 most commonly for base. The bonus potential is on top of the base. Bonus potential is $54,000 (uncapped). I’m always realistic about bonus “potential.” However, anything above and beyond base salary is just that...bonus!
You won’t find many jobs in the “real” world outside of pharma with a company car, gas paid, cell phone paid, 80% of health insurance paid, new hire long term incentive of $27,000 that’s vested after 3 years, 3 wks of vacation plus 10 company holidays. Believe me...I spent many many years in pharma. I’ve been in a different industry for the last 2 years by choice, and I am making the choice return to pharma.
I have been super impressed by everyone I’ve specifically interacted with at Urovant. I can’t speak to everyone with the company. The data on this drug is good. Yeah no Medicare Part D coverage for 2021 because the formulary is already set and the drug isn’t even approved yet. But it’s only the 2nd to market in the beta-3 adrenergic drug class with Myrbetriq. Plenty of patients can’t take the anticholinergics because of side effects. And then you must look at the company’s pipeline! Even one doc friend of mine said gene therapy for OAB is exciting and will be a game changer.
If you’re wanting a drug that you don’t have to actually sell, then this may not be the opportunity for you. If you’re making more where you are, then good for you, stay where you are. I know a ton of people who would kill for this opportunity. It’s a crazy world right now and people are struggling financially and emotionally. So to ask questions like what kind of company car you would get just seems so insignificant when most of us have higher car payments to own our personal cars and actually pay for our own gas.
Perspective, people. Perspective.
