Fuck you! Without us doctors would give zero fucks about you. You would know shit about the drugs or studies. Fire us and let’s see where the company will end up.

PFE will do some dog and pony show to show Wall Street that they made massive lay-offs but they still will not address the main problem. You will find out that Regionals, DM and Reps got cut but you will also find out that PFE will NOT CUT where they really need to cut and that is Director Level and above. PFE will still have layers of GMs, VP's and Group Leaders and that is where the problem lies. Now that is funny! I have never had a doctor/customer ever mention how valuable a Medical Affairs person is to the business (or a KAM). And, if Medical Affairs loses some folks in the $3.5 billion in cuts...it would be like a cruise ship having a couple of napkins fly overboard into the ocean (no one would notice)...same could be said of KAMs.

Pfizer KAMs are in place for one reason only: they provide massive numbers in our "expenses" column.

What do commercial sales people do other than printing out useless leaflets that end up in the doctors’s trash? Doctors don’t want to even see you, they treat you like the leaflets.

KAMs unit was a pet project of Carl’s. Well intentioned but the ROI is not evident. They need to be integrated into sales with a quota and other objectives that clearly help drive sales… or be scrapped entirely.
