Union

I have never been a member of a union and I am compensated very well. And I have no desire to have my compensation redistributed to others that cannot or will not pull their own weight. And pay dues to the organization that does it.

I guess you missed the historical reasons of unions helping you earn and enjoy what you do today.

Sounds like you need to work for a company that caters to employees with no skills and special needs. We are a top notch professional organization that expects our employees to have the skills necessary to succeed and we have a management team to match that. If you need your hand held, take your training wheels elsewhere. This is the big leagues.

Hey! It's " Hope this helps" from quest .. He has nothing to do on the weekends either..LOL LOL

Son, when you are a superstar that owns his performance and adds value at every turn, there is always work to be done. I am here merely as a consultant. It pains me to see the ugly subject of unions being brought up by a fine organization, such as Labcorp, even though we are competitors on the battlefield of clinical laboratory sales. Unions are for beta nonperformers. They are unprofessional and the subject tarnishes all of our reputations.

Hope this helps.

I am in sales and don't really see the value of a union for that part of the business or for labcorp at all really.. In some industries a union is definitely needed, but not here.

Regardless of one word or two grammar nazi, It is still true. Next time you call someone out and criticize their grammar, you better spell check "privileged" next time champ...... Labcorp management is nothing other than inbred managers, in the sense of no training other than their manager teaching them the ropes from they way they learned.. There is no training for anybody at this company and certainly no management training by a world class trainer or organization. All labcorp does is throw you in and say good luck (for the most part) nobody recognizes labcorp as a great training program or a top notch management. Labcorp is recognized for great testing capabilities but certainly not for training or management. Here is a link for you so you don't embarrass yourself further.. you can see how first class organizations recognized for great management and leadership, achieved the ranking.

Amen! Well said.

I am a LabCorp employee, I do like my job, however I do not feel we as a whole are paid fairly.. That would be one of the main reasons why I would vote a union in. It's pretty sad that as a supervisor some employees are paid more then their supervisors, plus the cost of health insurance for 2015 is not fair... We work hard everyday, the patients are well taken care of, the employees and the supervisors should be paid accordingly.

You are the problem. I do not want to get paid less because you can't keep up and I work hard to do so.

Labcorp is so blinded by the bottom line and because of it they created a culture of fear and bullying with their employees. Over pennies! And now a union may sneak in because of the vast and glaring distinction between the have's and have not's....... It's their own doing and fault if it happens! Everyone can talk about equity redistribution and how unions ruin companies. Cry me a river! but the fact is they don't get close to a company unless things are really really bad..

You are a commissioned employee who billed himself as a sales professional when hired. You are paid to increase the bottom line, not to whine about it. You are expected to regularly bring in thousands of dollars in new work. If you feel fearful and bullied over pennies, you do not belong in this field. The Labcorp sales force is an elite team of superstars. This is out of your league.

Hope this helps.

Says the guy who hasn't see the field since pay phones became obsolete and is no longer aware of outside sales importance, besides the lab world. I am a recruiter and i have never recruited someone because of a labcorp sales background unless they wanted to go to another lab. I have had some labcorp sales reps placed but typically it was because of their previous experience and training. I typically recruit from medical device, copier sales, or other top sales training programs. Most reps said insurances companies forced doctors and patients to use a lab based off on an insurance contract and it is a service sale versus a product sale.

Hope that helps

You should stick to copy machines and not make comments about something that you know nothing about.

Sorry, you are right. I am only contracted by top medical companies to place reps for a living. Unfortunately, labcorp reps dont fit the bill for product sales in medical devce where the top dollars are earned. Not trying to offend anyone

Oh, brother. Last time I checked Kinko's is not a top medical company. If you are so disinterested in Labcorp, why are you here, on a Labcorp message board, trying to learn from the best and brightest in the industry?

Take free lessons from us if you want, son. But keep your stupid comments to yourself.

Hope this helps.

The previous poster didnt say kinko's was a medical company. They said they place sales reps in medical device from copier companies. I am not sure what role you have at labcorp but i doubt you could sell yourself out of a paperbag the way you talk. Has anybody here got contacted by a recruiter and did they mention your labcorp sales experience? Just curious....

Who would want to recruit a copy machine salesman? Might as wee go down to the local Kia dealer and check out the talent at the pre-owned division. Don't tarnish your reputation by dealing with recruiters. If you are unable to represent yourself when seeking out a professional position, you don't deserve the opportunity.

Hope this helps.
