You wanna know what basketball stupid is? Basketball stupid is coming on this board 5 times a day during the regular season bragging about the possibility of Gonzaga being ranked no 1. Basketball stupid is even thinking that they are the best team in the country when they have played the 71st toughest schedule in the country, easiest by far in the top 20. Basketball stupid is even considering them to be the best team in the country when EVERY single person that watches college basketball knows that they are not. NOBODY but you and other Zags fans think they are no 1. Sure, they will be ranked no 1 this week by default, so enjoy it while it lasts. The tournament is what matters, to deny that is just plain stupid. RPI has them ranked 8 right now, that's what the selections committee looks at before the AP or coaches poll. It's no lock that they will get a 1 seed. You are more than basketball stupid, you're just plain stupid.

You really think all these rankings mean a damn thing? If you get a 1 seed then lose in the second or third round that is what people remember. If a 4 seed gets to the final four that is what the team and other people will remember. I think even your dumb ass knows that, you're just grasping for straws.

At this point in time with all the information that we have GONZAGA IS THE BEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE NATION. Will that change? Who knows? Who knew that Duke, Indiana, Florida, Miami or Kansas would get beaten by some really shitty unranked teams.

But today??? GONZAGA IS THE BEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE NATION AND THAT CAN'T BE DENIED.

Hell I used to watch CB before the field expanded to 64, when the regular season and NIT actually meant something. I remember when the field expanded, the only brackets I could find to fill out were in my Sports Illustrated, center facing pages (which was fucking awesome at the time).

I couldn't really give a rat's ass who you'd select as the best NCAA basketball team today, Saffire. Mainly cuz what you think isn't worth a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. However, I will pay attention to what the AP and Coaches polls say. Why? Because they are the generally accepted experts who rank the teams in order of their performances and records as the best teams in the country. Posters have been trashing and bad-mouthing Gonzaga left and right and refusing to give them their due credit since they belong to a small West Coast Conference. And they've been trashing me as a ZAG fan on account of it. They just HATE that Gonzaga is better than their favorite Big Ten, Big 12, PAC 12, ACC or Big East major college. The fact that a David could whoop a Goliath's ass just makes them livid, especially when that Goliath happens to be their favorite team.
