OMG!! Most US patients are geno 1!! We were told we would launch our cocktail in the Fall and that is what was communicated to Wall Street as well. Now we are hearing maybe 1Q 2015 and Merck is coming out 2Q 2015!! We were lied to and I am sick of it! I am pretending to work today but will really get a last round of golf in before bad weather hits. December is my shopping time so will spend a minimal time in the field. I am just doing what the entire sales force is doing! Oh, I will also spend a lot of time at the gym pumping! KMA Louie Louie!!!

Just read Seeking Alpha article "Is AbbVie's Bullishness On Its Hepatitis C Drugs Valid?" and now ready to throw up!! The article basically says we will not be competitive with Harvoni!! In genotype 1a our label will probably require the use of ribavirin in order to achieve Gilead's 98% SVR!!! The use of ritonavir is also noted as being a competitive disadvantage! Harvoni will also be recommended for genotypes 1 <=>6. The only potential hope for us is genotype 1b and that is a big maybe!! The "cotton candy"coming from Chicago is not based on clinical trial results and resultant labeling!! Get me out of this disaster!!!
 




There is no delay in the approval you morons. Always has been in December. No one ever said it would be the first HCV Treatment - that is just stupid. It was clearly outlined that Sovaldi would be first, Harvoni second and 3D third. How ignorant are you that you don't understand that is set by the FDA, not the company?

Ledipasvir has no activity against GT 2 - 6. Therefore, Harvoni is strictly a GT 1 drug. The dose of ritonovir in 3D is 1/10 of what is used as Norvir for HIV - so the argument of side effects is total bullshit - a complete smoke screen by Gilead to create potential road blocks. As the author of this article himself says, Abbvie presented strong data without RBV for GT 1b. Try 100% SVR strong.

WOW! thank god I left the HCV in February. Enjoy reading the posts. The marketplace has changes since the days of PegIntron and the pother drug. The HCP and the patients are looking for short protocol effective drug - RBV??? wake up...
But on a good note - This is how the pharma industry cure diseases...yes - CURE.

Gilead executive had a good quote "if a surgeon invent a new procedure, if there is a new good drug for cancer, no-one is going to question the price..."
