Saw this quote the other day!

CFO asks CEO: what if we invest in developing our people and then they leave us?

CEO: what if we don't and they stay?

So much dead weight here who are just hanging on to jobs and mailing it in every day. Most employees just hang around and protect their own jobs. Employees are partly to blame but the company does nothing to develop people.. Time for a culture change, DK............ Covance, wake up. You will all be gone in a few years if not earlier.

A great start would in the Service Department. Note that I did not say "Sales" Department. LCA has no clue how to run and commission its most valuable assist. We have no true "Sales" department. I work at about 28% because of a plan that makes no sense. Change the plan and the culture will change. A happy Sales department would ripple through the company. Numbers would sky rocket. We have a very strong product in many areas. I wish my efforts reflected in my monthly commission. Instead its a crap shoot waiting for the crazy Calidus month after month.

Very well said.. But, everybody knows this. The problem is management must know this too but dont care. Why? Because they are making money NOW through acquistions and insurance wins. Sure, there are some losses in certain parts of the country but the profit and stock is up. It is short term thinking by not investing in your employees. When labcorp gets fat and happy somebody else will emerge and labcorp will be like where mcdonalds will be in 10 hears. As for now, dont expect many changes

There is an eerie culture within labcorp and they are honestly stuck in the 70's era. Majority of management who actually sold in the field never had more than an IBM mainframe dos to work with. Half of the psc's look like a step above an old gas station aesthetically. Diversity? None. Women? Mostly phleb's and service only. Change with the times? They try for a couple days, its a chinese fire drill and then back to business as usual. Did you ever see the company try and implement something new? When they do it is a three ring circus. Changes? You will be waiting a long long time. Their stock price and acquisitions tell a different story on the surface but when inside this organization, it is a completely different perception and feel. It feels like the company is run out of someone's basement or garage

This is crazy! We upgraded to win7 this year so thats where we have been stuck. It doesn't feel good & reading this doesn't help. The truth kinda hurts. I just play the games and make my supervisor feel important even though she has no real clue!

Don't forget the millions of forms that look like they were developed in 1995

The majority of companies have gone or are going paperless while implementing applications, to rely on internal admin work. This company is still working with redundant paper forms to be faxed in. We don't even have a supply ordering section for offices in our own beacon system. They only had 5 years to develop the app and 5 years since to add it, but hey what do i know. They want offices to fax an order in STILL...Joke! Who is running this shit show? #2015 #perplexed

We have surface pro tablets...I love mine. I log every call everyday and sniff my boss' ass and then wash it down with kool aid. Give me a break. Damn drone.

F'in corporate drone is right! What a loser. Surface pro 3 tables suck ass for business use in the field. You cant do anything with the millions of spreadsheets they send until you get home makimg your day even longer. What a geek, give your boss a reach around whille you are at it

Clearly the combined organizations sound like the perfect match for each other!

Ladies and gentlemen step right up to the greatest show on earth - now bring in the clowns!

I'm over it all. Time to find an employer that actually values their people. An employer that actually values me.

No Sweetheart I just do my job. You are a miserable child who does nothing but complain. If you don't like your job then leave. Nobody is making you stay.

Most intelligent people know your company is a joke, but thanks for more confirmation.

Its funny how your company and goofy doctor push for these unnecessary tests.

A terrible company.
