I remember getting blown off by my lazy ass DM regarding my next level increase and he said we would talk about it at my review. At my review I brought up the subject again and again he blew me off. But when we are wrapping up our conversation he gets on the phone with Latonya and starts talking up another rep for her level increase. It became obvious at that point that he was only interested about the female reps on his team. Because he had previously and Solvay been sued for gender discrimination. This trend continued as all district Trainer positions were given to women. At the time that representatives were being considered for women’s health call he seem to be concerned about was getting his female harem promoted. Of course they were all experts in ass kissing too.

This is TRUE! I’ve never seen so many folks at Abbvie to be the dumbest most non innovative people, but because they constantly self promote themselves based off of FAKE crap they take credit for ... they get promoted and given accolades. It’s pathetic! Many people at Abbvie feel the need to constantly shout at the rooftops how great they are based on little non important extra stuff they do that does not equate to ANYTHING that actually makes the company any money. It’s the low performers who make the most noise ... because if they talk about how great they are all the time and name all the insignificant groups they are a part of with useless projects ... they are PERCEIVED as great assets. However, the folks who work really hard and are often consistent high performers that don’t self promote or put themselves in every club, program, or project group- that really accomplishes nothing - is viewed not as highly as someone who is a big phony brown nosing jackass!! Who has time to belong to every freakin project group ... endless useless conference calls that are only for those who love the sound of their own voices? Not me! I’m too busy making money for the company and myself ... but will never get the recognition because I’m not FAKE and don’t like to brown nose or self promote myself. Why can’t hard work and concrete results be enough for someone to get promoted? Leading by DOING not TALKING? I don’t think the phony brown nosing perception outweighs concrete effort with results will ever change at Abbvie. Too many people would be exposed for who they really are...a bunch of Blow hard mediocre people! I put up with it because I’ve been here forever and for the most part Abbvie has been good to me.... will I ever get the acknowledgement or promotions I deserve? Probably not, but hey I’ve got a nice pension growing and I’m left alone for the most part.
