THE "ALL DAY LIE", BEGINNING A NEW TRADITION AT AZ!

I have to say, that the "ALL DAY LIE" has worked out great for me! I was a little nervous to begin with, but that went away quickly. I have practiced this new tradition since the first of the year, and things couldn't be more better. My numbers are up, my ass kissing skills have improved, and all is right in the world of AZ!

"Couldn't be more better"??? Where the fuck did you go to college?

Yep, it's working great for me too!

My territory is fairly decent access compared to most but at least 40-45% of my calls are made from front desk or parking lot (I see that Lexus! docs in, that's a call in my book)

And the big gigantic pink elephant in the middle of the stage at every meeting is never mentioned by senior management.

Nice work from the stuffed shirts with the big paychecks. Reminds me of GM in the 2000's/

Don't think for 1 second that upper management doesn't know that most calls are faked. Think about it. If they openly admit it, they would be forced to deal with it, and I don't think they want to open that can of worms! No, it's half-a-day business as usual at AZ. Ain't it wonderful!

Exactly right. Without as many of us then they don't need as many of them. AZ is run like the government with each department demanding as many people and as much money to support it as possible. Who the fuck wants to be the head of a department that is downsizing?

Exactly. And managers at AZ often say that Wall Street questions sales force size. If cut back, it must be an omen that sales are slipping and the stock price will fall, or, AZ is not keeping up with the Joneses as far as sales force size. I've also heard managers say, if they cut you, they cut us.

Reality is though, for its sales volume AZ has an enormous sales force.

Never mind the accolades to those DSM's and PSS's that are "driving share" and getting it done. No one ever wants to share the rationale. ILL w/ Medicaid, PA w/ two plans two years in arrow. Yeah, it is all about brand strategy and demanding excellence.

It is all nonsense and everyone knows it. If it was about PSSs and DSMs driving share and high call averages then the same people would be going to COE almost every year. It is nearly all about % of advantaged managed care plans and how many competitors you have to compete with on those plans. That is it nothing less nothing more. There isn't one PSS and certainly no DSMs that are adding value to the physician's decision any longer. For every RX one Dr. may write because of the rep there are other Drs. that will not write it because of the same rep.

Exactly right! I "made" 7 calls today, and 5 were fakes! Typical day! The "ALL DAY LIE" is now entrenched at AZ! Go Frenchie, you dumb shit!

All these fake calls (instead of fake-way to harsh sounding- give it a nice corporate speak name like Field Action Key Episodes) support a huge amount of jobs and budget..nobody in HQ wants to hear it down to us reps ..how many VP and Director titles rely on you hitting 8 calls a day?? Downsize field force discussions in HQ? all those guys heard was the word 'downsize' and what it means to their positions in corporate.--they've got the reps back for as long as they can hold out against the next consultant's power point presentation to the really Big chieftains.

Exactly! If we go, they go! They know that most calls are lies, but they know if they get rid of us, they go too! We have a green light to fuck off all we want! God, this is a great company to "work" for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The big lie of Pharma is call averages and everyone knows it. But remember they have a lot more to lose than we do if cut backs happen. So, leadership will continue to cover for us and allow the facade to continue. My average day is one or two quick reminders with a sample signature. The rest is all made up and my boss loves me. My DSM never asks me what I recorded during field visits which is a green light to lie even when she is with me.

I've been funded to work on a solution that will force you all make the career transition that you've been avoiding. AZ had an over abundance of pretty, under-educated managers, clueless RSDs and upper management that could only communicate in bullet points. Leaving the company was the best career move that i've ever made.

The breaking point was when a DSM threatened my job unless I promoted Seroquel in an epilepsy clinic. Btw, it lowers the seizure threshold, so no ideal for that patient population. I did reach out to legal council because I felt that this was way off label. AZ was already in the midst of a settlement so I was too late to participate in a whistleblower suit.

I breaks my heart that I still have friends stuck working for AZ. The longer the don't participate in the reality ecomony, the more difficult it is to get out. I took pay cuts when I left pharma because no one wanted to give a drug rep a shot because they all think of it as an Robotic, unskilled position. I was told, "Being a drug rep isn't a real sales job", by a recruiter. He said that reps are a dime a dozen and I needed to find a way to distance myself from my rep past. He said that most reps don't even understand the current job market, they aren't building their brand, and most still aren't on Linkedin!!

I had to fight the preconception that I got my Money for Nothing, and My Checks for Free.

If you don't want to continue wasting your life fearing Monday morning ride alongs, GPS tracking, and making fake calls while other people are out there making a difference in the world...Plot your escape and GTFO! Leave, I did.

You are so full of shit. Pardon me while I clean up the mess. I just pissed my pants from laughing so hard. You got fired loser and will never land a job paying anywhere close to this. Did you move back in with your parents?
