Tebow

I like Timmy (TIMMAH!). He is a good man and hope he continues to disprove the haters. He represents himself and his team well off the field which a lot of players unfortunately don't.

Im not down with Timmy's religious beliefs, but I've been a fan since he was in high school, and for those of y'all that don't know, I have had the great fortune of meeting him. He is a quality guy.

He has not put up he W's for Denver alone, and he admits it. He has inspired Denver's defense, and is winning. Nuff said. I love him, huge fan of his. Talk shit about Tebow here, you're gonna hear from me.

I would never trash Tebow unless all his activities reported off the field are a PR stunt and a big facade.

If he actually does all the good for humanity as reported by the press - give the man a high five. There aren't that many in pro sports who live by a moral code anymore.

His athletic ability comes second in my mind.

If he actually walks his talk without any dirt being swept under the carpet - Timmy is a major winner IMO regardless of his performance on the football field. :)

He's just good.

Same thing was said about Cam Newton......I feel really sorry for Cam -- you just know he didn't think he'd be with a team that is as bad as the Panthers are this year. And don't hand me the phooey talk about how it's just his first year. We all know Tebow AND Newton thought they would be "all that" on the field this year.

It's really been a sucky year for very talented football players.

I don't feel sorry for $cam I mean Cam, this is his second year of professional football. The "one and done," rule by the NCAA was created because of him. Now Junior College Players can't play just one year for a major University.

I love the story Chizik, Trooper & Looper tell about Cam's recruitment to The Barn! The Auburn Family was out at Blinn College in Texas recruiting a Defensive Back when they "discovered," Cam. Trooper and Looper had to beg Chizik to let Cam on the team!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!! THIS IS TOTALLY TRUE!!!

Umm, this is Cam Newton's first year of pro ball. Carolina Panthers got first pick in the draft and they picked him.

I was just being sarcastic since Cam's father Cecil admitted that Miss State Boosters offered him $180,000 for Cam to play at Miss State. Professionals get paid to play so the joke here in Alabama is this is Cam's second year of Professional Football!!

I am sure Auburn did not offer Cecil a dime for Cam to play there!! Yeah Right!!

I agree with you on Tebow being a quality guy and right now he helping to inspire his team to win.

As far as the reality of football is concerned, Tebow's current tight rope act simply cannot be sustained in the NFL. He won't be the long term solution as Denver's QB - He doesn't have the arm to throw the ball enough and against top tier team and that will be exposed in the next few weeks. He can't keep runnig the ball as much as he does - Sooner or later he will take a big hit and end up injured - Ask Michael Vick about that.

All that being said, I root for the Tebow because he is a good guy and someone that kids can look up to - Even if he doesn't pan out long term as the Bronco QB, Tim Tebow will have a solid NFL career and a longer career off the field as a solid citizen.

Brady Quinn must totally suck if he can't beat out Tebow. Rick Mirrer, Jimmy Clausen, and Quinn. ND QB's make fine NFL benchwarmers.

Tebow won again today - Denver is 5-1 with him as a starter. Throwing TD's - not just running them in. Brought them back from another deficit.

Yet ESPN is still going to trash him. Rotten bastards.

Tell you what BN......Tebow is living proof that there definitely is God. How else can you explain 5-1?

Yesterday....a huge wind blew SD's winning kick in OT wide right.

....Hairy....(I don't sign in anymore because of the modmo crap.)

I agree.

God sure does love his football, huh?

Tebow's last pass last night guaranteed him $250K. There's a clause in his contract and gives him $250K for every playoff game he wins. I'd be on one knee too giving thanks.

Tim's the man. You see the goofy young guy at the mic after the games? That is totally him all the way. He was exactly like that when I met him, and there was no press around.

If Tim leads the Broncos to the Superbowl, I might just have do something charitable. I would say I would go to church, but I don't want to set any 5 alarm fires. ;)

Did you see how he passed for 316 yards? He completed 10 of 18 passes for 31.6 yards average? John 3:16?
