“X sayings” including an entire group of people who either sucked as DBMs, or were detested by customers coming up with nonsensical trackers, “Xcel” spreadsheets that are so detached from reality of actually meaning anything worthwhile.
Last Count is 14 trackers per Region.

An extra level of “Middle Middle Management” known as LOL.
Reps being told to serve on committees that appear to grow by the week. That do absolutely nothing for the bottom line.

Constant State of Self Promotion to gain some sort of title that is undeserved and best, and head scratching in the least.

DBMs starting to see that it’s becoming too much for their sanity to perpetuate the lie of this place, of actually knowing what to do.

Good News, we can do a survey on Friday that will never be followed up on with field questions.
Kinda like the Chat function being disabled so ACL couldn’t take questions in real time as promised, then claimed there were so many.
Funny thing, field employees were informed “Chat is disabled, and no questions can be submitted” by the 3rd party hosting during the call.

Be glad you don’t work in the South. Vince has the RBD’s and DBM’s so far up his ass he probably thinks morale is great in the field. It’s a new important metric every day.

No. Sorry. The realists have shown up. I’m smart enough not to overestimate my own value to the company. But, really, what is it that you want/expect to happen? People to grovel and beg you to stay? Just go, man. It’s ok. We’re all ok.
I agree with you but also when you are a frog in a well, frog being you and well being Novo. You don’t know any better. Ask any of the laid off reps who were forced to find a new opportunity. Most of them have landed and most of them are scratching their heads to see why they didn’t do it before. There are many many better cultures out there. Yes we choose to stay and yes people who are leaving En masse will be replaced, at what cost? Go look at how long it took for Novartis to turn its ship around. Why shouldn’t it be a goal to keep employees happy? A happy content employee will go out of their way to add to the bottom line.

The only point I’m trying to make is that when folks decide to leave, don’t expect everyone to cry a river. It’d be great if you stayed, but it’s fine if you go. Good and bad is all relative. I don’t judge those who stay nor those who go. It just seems like people have this delusional belief that NNI will/should be heartbroken if a bunch of people decide to go to Bayer. NNI will be fine, and they will easily replace everyone that leaves. They don’t care, and you shouldn’t care that they don’t.
 












Although not the OP you’re responding to, you’re not getting the point either. Companies should care deeply about retention. It’s as simple as that.

It depends. If you lose the people you want to lose, then there’s no problem with it. The only time a company should care about retention is if they are actively trying to retain you. Sometime companies want turnover.
