Suvorexant

Have you've seen the Merck managers? Majority of them are lifer managers/Merck who were promoted in 1994. None of them could carry a bag. Look at the MAEs, lifer ex managers who haven't worked a full day in 10 years.

DOGorexant. At the lower, approved dose, this drug has nothing on the competition. Generic competition, I might add. Not a chance of success. It's a setup for the next layoff.

Ignorance is bliss. R+D delivered something first in class and novel in Neuroscience. Read your training manuals and sell. Complaining won't make it a billion in sales. Option is to leave or be replaced

Plenty of complaints yet its absolutely amazing the wizards around here didn't tap on the Maxalt neuro talents for this baby. We have more than a few who are dabbling in other jobs or downright looking for work from the recent fiasco of cuts and departures. These folks knew the customers, had a sales history and could rattle off the science. Yet they were passed by faster than a lighten bolt. Ignorance is ignorance and the ignoramus behind the hiring decisions sure wont know bliss anytime soon. All indications are the newbies just hired are more than restless.

Great post, I guess common sense is out the door at Mrk. I recently sat in a high level meeting and the top brass actually regretted letting the insomnia HSA's go. There was earlier talks of transitioning sleep hsa's to Merck neuro spec reps but it was outsourced to contract. This would have been a great team of sales reps with prior Maxalt and/or sleep experience. It is up to pc and contract now, there are some good ones. I've heard rumors of some field juggling to avoid struggling. Launches are critical and appropriate staffing is B school 101. Imagine if they placed animal health reps to launch pd-1, same analogy.

If the drug works better than the status quo then it it will sell. If not, then it does not matters who promotes it. Does it bring anything better to the table?

Many of the scientists who worked on this drug are no longer with the company. Layed off in one round or another. With that kind of employee commitment, I wouldn't expect anything great coming out of MRL.

Based on what I read, it looks to be a better drug. Previous comment comparing this product to dulera is nothing short of stupid. Dulera sucked because it was 3rd in class in a cost focused healthcare system. Our so called leaders still think its 1990 when managed care was less of an issue. Plus we have a fat old sales force making way to much money and zero hustle. to make it even worst you have a company that wont take any risks at all due to the CIA. That is a bad combination when launching a 3rd in class medicine.

New hires, fresh off the cheering squad is where its at. No greys or muffin tops needed. Forget relationships...its all about the money, and that s*x appeal!

A formula for success!!!

I hear a certain ctl in the eastern half of the county wants only young chickies and dudes on his team! One hint of a wrinkle, flab or grey and you are canned! What a great manager he has no clue about anything.

That's funny, I remember Dulera entering a market awash with drugs that were just as good or better and tons of generic alternatives. Oh yes, this is nothing like that, is it?

Belshitra hasn't got a chance in hell of hitting $100 million, let alone $1 billion.

Wow! It's really called Bel-shit-tra? Ring true?!
