Suvorexant

Of course it is for salary reasons. With so many pharmaceutical reps looking to get back into Pharma after being displaced over the last 6 years, they are willing to take a pay cut for the perks (not that Merck offers much in comparison). They have found that working hard for a living and not bringing in the same income sucks!

I don't trust Merck. They continuously lie to us. CTL's have to play the role because they need their jobs. It is just a viscous cycle. If they offer the package again - I am out-of-here.

FYI, doesn't matter what Pharma company you work for, it is the industry. Their business model is not working anymore. Marketing keeps recycling the same old stuff because they are not talented or courageous enough to try to find a better business model. Why you ask? They have know incentive. They have probably been put in their position as an "Old Boys Network" and understood if they drink the Koolaide, they will be safe. They were correct~

Thanks Kenny Boy! You have really helped Merck be great again - or not! Another lawyer
playing the odds in his favor - screw us!

Marketing and ctls should have given a shout out to the old Maxalt and Saphris reps. They had the relationships for fast entry into the accounts. Some were handraisers and others were displaced. Probably would have been open to the jobs. Once again, management misses the ball.

Suvorexant is a dog in the making. It's Dulera all over again.

I disagree. If this sleep drug does have a new MOA and patients see results...the word will spread and patients will be asking for it. Proof of the pudding is in the tasting. Some effective DTC advertising would not hurt to raise awareness. Insomniacs will do almost anything for a good night's sleep.

Best MOA is hot milk and a massage! No hangover! No AEs.

CTLs are torturing us with certifications on disease state knowledge yet this product is unlikely to get approved. Why can't we just sell what is in our bag? Do doctors really want to hear about insomnia from us when we don't have a product? They barely give time to sign for samples let alone talk about sleep troubles.

They've already told us what limited coverage we will have will be Tier 3. In a market full of generics that are just as good, IF NOT BETTER, this drug is doomed to fail.
