Sun can't fill open positions

I can answer this old timer. Starting salary of $40,000. Bonus potential of $5,000. Car allowance of $400 a month and gas card. 1% match on 401k. Free porn at holiday inn express in Princeton during training. You have to pay for your own lunch though. Pay phone calling card to call into your voicemail and free Lotus notes training. Good luck.

Seriously? I have 4 years at BL and prior to that worked at Alcon in sales. That's not much money! I saw ads for position(S) but not sure for what areas. I have more desire to sell regardless of these posts. Anyone know what areas they are looking to fill? Florida by chance!

I have plenty of positions that would be great for you... You can stock the soup and pasta isle or you can restock the frozen dinners and icecream section ( I don't trust you anywhere near the booze isle) ..... you can choose since you have so much experience but still don't know how to find the answers to your simpleton questions. You may also be a good fit to be a security guard for a Red Box machine.

Competitive salary and IC, company car that is above industry average, strong trajectory for our first ophthalmic product, and strong pipeline in eyecare. Don't be discouraged by all the negativity on this site. Fact is, the actual employees of the ophthalmics team (at least most of them) are too busy working than playing games on this stupid thread. Company is a start up environment with real challenges as it grows and deals with cultural differences. That said, if your intent is to "collect a check" until retirement, Alcon or B+L may be a better fit...

You've got to be kidding me.

This company is on the verge of bouncing our payroll checks. We actually had a major vendor fire us last week due to repeated non-payment of our bills. We have companies that play major roles in our business operations who repeatedly threaten to cut us off.

The completion of the first floor of the home office was halted for non-payment. It's embarrassing.

Dude, I get it.... you're sensitive, but there is no need to take shots at B&L , Alcon or any other established Ophthalmic company just because you are realizing that your company is punchline to a very bad joke with a turd product.

Interesting:

As I understand it from my boss, we're interviewing for a key position in the company and certain people - like 7 or 8 people - we're asked to interview the candidates.

No one, not one responded.

No one here can sit across the table from a candidate and in good faith be able to tell them they should come here, let alone conduct a strong interview to assess the competencies and fit of the candidate.

That's (1) admirable that those folks are that honest and won't misrepresent themselves but (2) at the same time, it's scary that it's that bad.

There is no future and it really is just a paycheck. NO STOCK OPTIONS, HORRIBLE 401K MATCH, HIGH COST OF MEDICAL INSURANCE, NO PROFIT SHARING (NO PROFIT EITHER), NUT JOB HR HEAD, ME TOO PRODUCTS, OFF LABEL MARKETING PRACTICES,RUN BY INDIA WHO DONT UNDERSTAND US MARKET, besides this it is a great place to be.

Yup, that a 'bout describes it around here.

The ranks will thin out in the next 60 days as some are locking downs offers shortly. We've been surprisingly discriminating in taking our next steps, but don't worry, this place will be empty soon enough.

As I was thinking about going to Princeton to interview for a DM position in biologics this week, I asked around about this company.

Something's not right. The people there - just two that I was able to connect with, did not give me any sense of confidence that the overall company is set up for success, or that they'll be there in 6 months. There's a real hesitancy for those there to say 'yeah, this is a good place to be'. So, I'd say tread lightly. I hear that the DMs they've hired are unemployed or with no name companies.

The JNJ-ers have not been able to recruit even one of their former colleagues to go there.

That should say it all. Or at least enough.

ONLY come here if you have NO OTHER CHOICE. If you accept a position start looking and DO NOT put this place on your resume. If you do come here trust NOBODY!!!!

Oh just stop trolling and get back to work. This place is as solid as any pharma company, the product is good, the support is good, the pay is good. Like anywhere in pharma if you work hard you'll do just fine. If you don't work hard you'll have problems.

Dude, you are nuttier than a jar of chunky jiffy. Our product is a me-too product with no coverage and a crappy coupon that gets crushed by PAs . Our "pipeline"is also a bunch of rebranded generics. The pay here is average , it would have been good if what they said about quotas/IC plan was true and I've had better support from an old pair of boxer drawers with the crotch worn out. But good for you, I'm glad YOUR lovin it.

forget the pay.

You have a job so never use that statement

But I left sun because it's fraud attempt and then retaliation to personnel was so obvious.

They are a TV show pilot set hoping to get renewed every half season.

They paid some heavy to leave large establishments to sell India flea market products at jacked up prices and no market access contracts.

The situation that's funny. Is that many of these high priced personnel will land other opportunities because it's easy to say why this is a joke.

now you middle nice salary personnel, well you drank the cool aid. Now you lose sleep at night because it's s FINGER POINT organization.

And when Johnny Lipshitz is your Goodyear tire type boss.

Well good luck.

My only comment to the above is the posting is spot-on in that it'll be an easy story to tell as to why someone would leave Sun.

It's a shit-show and people on the outside know it too.

So the biggest risk is staying here too long and having your name/ reputation become associated with the failure. Time to deploy the lifeboats, it's going down.

I wonder how many will leave this month and next?

I don't think it matters who pulled the trigger first, it's irrelevant.

The fact is, everyone here is giving the company a big 'f-you', by leaving, or by staying while searching for the time being, or by staying and not giving a crap. 6 home office people left the past 3 weeks. Yeah, way to lead Dilip, you're going to lose a few more billion before this is over.

The whole place is figuratively firing the CEO. There's no hope or trust - even the US-born Indians are shamed by Exec behaviors.

I've seen more satisfied people in a morgue.
