RD at Supernus is a bad job though compared to other companies and if you have never sold these products you probably drive yourself crazy trying to figure out what the problem is with your reps when we just out here trying to do our best and survive the day

Don’t even start!!! At least RDs are compensated on industry norms. Try being an underpaid rep with these products in your bag.

You guys are acting like the rds aren’t the most talented at what they do! Mine is on a roll. Pretty sure they’re up for an award for most access killed with one call

They are out of touch with reality it’s so sad. My RD has been banned from multiple offices and before you say I don’t sell save it I sell every office every day but I don’t go in there like an idiot trying to get every patient on IR that you are never going to get. When you go in and ask for every IR patient it’s going to piss the doctors off and these RDs should be able to get it

This 100%. Out of touch and like the other poster said arrogant. Mine strolls in like he’s important and the offices should take notice or something. Not one ounce of humility

HA! My rd got every manager at every company banned in my top office, complete with a note in the break room explaining the new rules, including NOT being able to see the docs outside of a lunch anymore AND a nice little handout that every rep gets when they walk in AND an agreement that every rep has to sign, agreeing to not be an asshole douchbag

So according to your infinite wisdom, you’re saying that doctors(or just people in general) prefer to have 1 pretentious douche + 1 pleasant professional rather than 2 pleasant professionals selling the benefits and features of their products?

The fact is most (not all) RDs here are egomaniacs who care more about what their ZD thinks than their reps. A good leader and manager knows you take care of your people, build their strengths, mitigate their weaknesses, always explain the why, and they will perform for you. We get some of you are frustrated too but if you showed a more united front there wouldn’t as much push back to everything you want us to do.

This person hit the nail on the head so hard I think the board cracked. My manager is all of what everyone has described. Sometimes I think the company is failing us all. No other company pays this way. All other company compensates on all Rx written in your zipcode (not 100 you call on). Every other company pays to maintain MS after 1 year on launching vs. our company who will only pay on growth. The story of why we hire inexperienced people is BS: nobody with experience in pharma would sign up for this.

To the RD who said we should be so grateful to be here: you should be so grateful we came here, we could have gone on to work for legit companies who take care of their people, or, stayed at the companies we were with and been happier. I made more at my last job and had a hell of a lot more fun doing it. We owe you nothing & were not going to kiss your ass bc you “gave us this opportunity”. All of your lazy asses are lucky we have us & the bonus money you have made.

To the RD who said you are beyond frustrated with us: we are beyond frustrated with you! We weren’t born yesterday & we are keenly aware of your frustration you don’t hide it well. Here’s a solution: How about you grow a set and start having real business conversations with your manager about what is really going on besides kissing their asses? We all can’t make money if everyone is constantly stroking everyone’s ego. In business, sometimes people make shitty decisions & lately, the people making the decisions here have been fucking up. Grow a set and tell them. It will be ok, you might actually be a hero in the long run (from the feedback your reps are giving you).

To the person who said all of the RD’s were some of the best sales reps: just because you get in at the beginning & launch a product doesn’t make you the best (for reference check your Aimovig #’s in your iPA). Just because you were in the boys club at Shire & haven’t repped in the field in a decade+ doesn’t make you the best... it kind of makes you obsolete & ineffective especially if your team is under performing. Awww I’m sorry, but it’s true old pal.

First of all it would take 2 managers to play good cop bad cop wise guy - sorry to break that news to you. Might be why your 1 bad day ride day & 1 good guy ride day aren’t bearing fruit. And your shenanigans don’t benefit anyone especially not you or your family bc you make us so miserable that we all lose money. It takes me days to recover after my manager has ride days with me.
