Agreed. Worst leadership in my entire career. Was so happy to get out of here, I took a pay cut! And so did a dozen others. The lifers in management have NO idea how to lead or launch and are too arrogant to listen to the occasional real talent they hire. TOXIC!!!

My friend that left is the happiest they have ever been. Their manager was incompetent at best. It was sad to see them go, but I was so happy to see their mental health improve.

99% of it is, do you have the right people leading sales the first couple years? Access will be bad. HUB will be bad. But does sales leadership have what it takes to hire the right people, create the right IC model, and fight for credit to every single script so the sales force just goes out and hustles? Celgene had that. We don't. Cut and dry.

After a few years, then that model doesn't work but by then you have volume to demand access. Then you can go to a more standard big pharma commercial plan. But the first 2 years are critical.

This is true for most who leave. Even with pay cut they’re much happier. And learning new skills that will set them on a much better track for future growth. So they might actually make more money in a short time than if they had stayed…
