So They're Finally Realizing That The Hospital Team Isn't Needed?

It was such a huge mistake joining this company! I took a gamble and lost. If anyone claims they are happy here and sincere, then I would really love to meet them. Truth is, like others have posted, everyone I talk with are already entertaining other job options now.

My hospital rep is SOOOO not needed. All that he does is do a couple cath lab lunches per week. Not working hard. In fact, hardly working. Not helping with sales. Not helping with pull though, unless you count the office that they go into because they can't get into the hospital. Great!

The hospital reps are unnecessary and they know it. Many will be reorganized over to RA. Others will leave. This was a mistake to hire a hospital team that doesn't call on hospitals because Sanofi hospital reps do that and this is not a hospital drug. Many of them are pretty cocky.

Mine is actually pretty amazing. He's probably one of the best people I've ever met in my life which is why our customers absolutely love him. Yes, it's not the best situation and we are stepping all over each other at times, but I seriously hope I don't lose him. They're not ALL bad and useless.

Geeeez. Give it a break. I'm 100% certain you are a manager.

Let's hope they move people to RA.
It's not fair to anyone that the salesforce was organized as such a shit show with people tripping all over each other.

This coming from a field based rep that has spent their career, like many of the other cynics chasing signatures and beefing up false call averages. You're a fucking moron. We're spending half of our time managing expectations because the field specialists think it's totally cool to bring 3-4 reps into a crowded break room so that you can all get your targeted calls in. And at the same time shut access down for the rest of us.. But wait, we have no idea what we are doing? At least half of the field reps lack cardiology experience and have no idea what disease management is, or what's important to providers. It's an embarassment, quite frankly. This collaboration was doomed from the start and leadership is only interested in stopping the bleeding at this juncture. Fortunately, my Sanofi hospital colleague is solid with most of the field reps on both sides equivalent to Enterprise rental car sales people. At the end of the day, if not for the experienced hospital reps with cardiology experience, you'd be shit out of luck..

#29--I could certainly still be successful without my Hospital Rep. He really does nothing beneficial to the sales, or pull through. He throws a few last minute cath lab lunches on the books. No future planning. Can't coordinate with any of us because he is not organized. I could handle the little bit of hospital calling that actually needs to be done, in addition to what I am currently doing. Not that I have the time, but I would make it work. Furthermore, I actually really DO like working for Regeneron. I have just passed up interviewing for an Oncology position for a company that I think is far worse than Regeneron, even though I would get paid A LOT more.

Please give us all a break (violins playing). You sound so pathetic. Just worry about your own accountability. You sound like a child. Go get that oncology job (yeah sure, they would have hired you LOL)

Wow, apparently there is no "I" in team. But this is exactly what Regeneron deserves for the design of the sales force. I can get along with anyone but pod mates are all struggling to take credit for every single Rx, this is ugly. I told my manager they need to deal with this issue from their level and he told me to not be so negative. I wasn't being negative I was trying to tell him morale is awful and help him, instead I get my hand slapped.

I will be blunt. I've got news for you. You were complaining. Take responsibility for your own task at hand. When you discuss your worry about pod mates taking credit for every single Rx, you made yourself look bad. At the end of the day, a manager knows who is getting it done and is also a team player. When you tell a manager they need to deal with an issue, you're basically calling the baby ugly. Ask any manager and they will tell you they hate complainers unless you offer a positive solution. You made a mistake and unfortunately that mistake will stay in the mind of your manager for quite a long time. Equate it to being put on a PIP. You can work hard and take yourself off of a PIP, but they never forget and it stays with you for the rest of your career there. Your manager isn't going to forget what you said.

But at the end of the day you know what I said has solid basis and there is much more than a handful of people who share my sentiment.
This infrastructure sucks and needs to be changed.

You are a douche that never sold a biologic. You sold a pill in the hospital. You don't know shit but walk around with your nose so far up your own ass. You are clueless and your days are so numbered you wh@#3 of a "hospital rep". What a useless division!

Let's be honest. Whether true or untrue, you put yourself in a bad position.....you shouldn't have said anything. Being in this business, you should know better. Bets advice I can give you is to candy coat everything now and out a positive twist on everything you say or do with this manager as you put a mark on yourself. Most people realize that this wasn't a good company to come to and that the rationale of having a pod structure simply does not work.

Yes, we ALL know this is a complete joke with the current structure.
I feel trapped career wise with the lousy decision I made.
Just tell management what they want to hear is the best advice one could give.
