I work for AbbVie. When we acquired Solvay, those people did not get AbbVie pensions, because they did not have pensions with Solvay.

I'm only speculating, but if you have a pension plan with Shire, it would seem likely Abbvie would honor and continue to extend it. If Shire has not offered you a pension in the past, it doesn't seem like you Abbvie would offer ya'll a pension plan...

That's how it worked in the past with other mergers.
