My life after being fired from here, by Paul Revere:
.
.
.
.I did this About a month ago. At that time i was a college educated professional, about 29 years old working here. I had an evening event got way too drunk. I got in the car and tried to drive home. I has no memory of this but i hit another car and left the scene. I called my husband at 2 am and one from her in jail at 3am. I was caught and arrested and after 6 months of near nervous breakdown on my part, went to trial, and was convicted to one month in the downtown twin towers in Madison I was realeased after two weeks for 'good behavior'.

Did I deserve this punishment? Absolutely not! But it cost me all my savings and nearly cost me my marriage. I was court ordered to live in a halfway house for 6 months after for recovering alcoholics. My lawyer advised me to say i was an nympho at trial bc they tend to be more lenient if you have a 'disease'. Bunch of crap. I am like This girl is just like any one of us who made a series of very very very bad decisions beginning with drinking too much at a work event.

Long story here but I hope it might serve as a deterrant for anyone out there who might want to drink and sleep with strangers. If you are lucky enough to not hurt anyone else, you could still hurt yourself.

Paul Revere, you are truly a pathetic loser. I feel so sorry for you, I wish you could take my place at the meeting next week, obviously you'd rather be there more than anyone I know.

No car, poor benefits and worthless stocks are the reasons that PR stays vigilant, even on a Saturday night. Good night to good folk at Cadence. It will all be over soon

Should I work hear?
I usually don't post or read this forum because 80% of it is a bunch of disgruntled used car salesmen who don't appreciate a good thing when it's right in front of them. However, I'm hoping for a few good/serious responses from the other 20%.

I've been in biotech/pharma for 10yrs currently working for a major industry player. I am in a good positon with solid base/bonus but I don't have a background in APAP suposatory medicine like you twinks. I have an opportunity in san diego and I'm interested in getting a perspective a few APAP specialists if it's a good place to go to get the oncology background.

IV APAP sounds like an amazing product and a tough sell which is why this job attracts me. Is the potential for bonus good, are the goals realistic, are the employees happy?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Please heed our warnings! At least 90% of the sales force are looking for new jobs. The future is very unstable and uncertain here. I am truly trying to be sincere with you. Do not take this job even if you are desperate for a job as it is very likely to end by the end of the year.

PR has been ringing the bells and warning all who listen about the Cadence redcoats. Those that didnt listen will have to deal with the consequences. PR will sleep well tonight.

You're right revenue must equal the number of employees a company will retain. I understand that we may need to trim down the number of people, however, that isn't just field force, this is marketing and home office as well. All the people here contribute to the cost, not just the field force. Never, the less, there should be accountability in place to ensure that sales goals are not only stretch, but achievable. The way employees are treated should not be reflective of making revenue number. People should be treated with respect and as adults. As, shared above, the companies who get this, and treat employees fairly will be the companies that prosper when the economy gets better. We needs to understand that. You need to treat your talent well, or they will be the ones to find employment elsewhere and the only people left will be the ones that you don't want representing or have the inability to do so well. Good talent will always be valuable...The question is will companies be able to retain their good talent.

WoW another posting at midnight on Saturday. Are you single? Do you have a significant other? I don't know whether to pity you or fear you.

My district pretty much came away with the same opinion. I think management is starting to get the reality that there will be a lower ceiling to the sales ramp. Things looked ok in October/November when there was some decent growth but there was no follow through into 2012. Flat.

Yep, those home office beards might get pretty long. Going to looking like a bunch of goofy unkept Amish.

My manager told me that some of our leaders are beyond nervous and not sure what is going to happen. The meeting was absurd and too intense for what we have all been put through this past year. Absolutely no down time and the offsite dinners were horrible. Everyone is completely exhausted from the day and then we have to be bused to the other side of the city!? No consideration for people that don't live on California time. I actually enjoyed building a bike for needy children, but it would have been better if we had done the team building activity later in the week versus the very night we all traveled to get there. Again no consideration. Sure, it is easy for the execs that live out there, but for people that have been traveling for hours and hours, it is a different story. There also should have been an evening on your own versus going to go get bar food. I literally told my husband that I had no idea I was in San Diego because we never got a second on our own to do anything.
