Three of us were let go. Yet not ONE rep who was retained in this district called to extend good wishes or even say good bye to us. I trained with one of you over ten years ago. Nothing. This is not the upper brass. It's the reps in the trenches. Has the company lost its compassion and kindness or is it the people who work?
I was downsized a couple of years ago and so was a counterpart in another pod. No one started calling us until a couple of months ago to find out where the jobs are? And they actually thought I would be glad to hear from them and want to 'do lunch' Really?????

I never read CF when I was with us. Over the past week I have been reading post and feel kinda bad that the company has declined to this point.

I went back to school and still work in healthcare but on the clinical side.

My advice, take a minute to relax then figure out what you want to do for the next 20 years or so and go for it.

There is LIFE after......
 






I heard through the grapevine some reps were let go, but didnt know from where. I am so sorry you were treated like that and not one of your coworkers reached out to you. The whole situation is terrible.

Training, There is an initial day at home office, followed by a day of field training, then back to home office for one day then one more day of field training. In all, I believe there are three training segments days, each more worthless than the last. If you accept the position, you'll see, you could learn all you need to know about IV APAP by watching one 30 second tv add !!!!!

My advice? If you already have any job, keep it and look elsewhere. The board is absolutely "spot on" and while I would always publicly say some of the things these people do, there is more truth to the posts than you would believe. If you are in dire need of a job, take it, but be very, very careful. If a manager or director dislikes you for any reason, they will hound and threaten you until you leave. I've seen good, hardworking reps become physically ill with the stress and harassment.

Everyone is dreading this meeting and no one wants to go.

How can you even think that? This is going to be a fantastic meeting where we celebrate all our achievements from the past year and recognize those individuals who through just a little more effort than the rest of the sales force were able to earn a trip to Hawaii. Personally, I look forward to acknowledging those individuals who demonstrate our core values, simply put, they talk the talk and walk the walk.

And by day, we can roll up our collective sleeves and sink our minds into our new Tylenol sales materials and review the latest cutting edge data with the many, meny experts on stage from marketing, training and senior management.

I can't wait, race you to the airport?
 






Don't they realize that practically every sales rep in attendance at the meeting doesnt want to be there? it's going to feel very awkward when they are doing the rah rah speeches on stage when most of the sales reps in the room are wishing they were somewhere else at the exact same moment.
 






I wish we could get our hands on some of those narcotics we're supposedly sparing. We could at least try to make the meeting a little less painful. However, the way the past meetings have unfolded I think there will be plenty of breakthrough pain.

Okay...so we have been tracking you and it is true that you are out of the house by 9 and home just after 5. However, it doesn't look like you are the field all that much if we account for your time at the mall, hanging out at Starbucks/various fast food joints and also the significant number of visits to the adult bookstores. By the way, what's up with the hour long sessions in the bathroom? Do you have a medical condition?

You're no tracking me, I'm not even up before 9:00 AM and I'm approaching the 18th by 5:00PM on most days. Starbucks is for the tired.

I hope you jump on stage...your posts make me laugh. The only ones that don't like them are managers. We all know that being a hospital rep in general has really changed; but selling IV tylenol as a hospital rep has been the worst gig of my career. I guess you expect as a hosptital pharmacists to hate you no matter what you rep, which is depressing enough; but, I've never felt so devalued by my management team at any company. So, when I picture you running across the stage and possibly knocking one of them off the stage as they do their "cheer," it's a nice reprieve. Keep up the good work, Paul!

Dear Paul Revere:

Laid off Jan 31 after 1 years at this corrupt hell hole. I have no real skills and am in a loveless marraige, soon going to divorce. I go thru a quart of Smirnoff vodka nad a 12 pack of Miller Lite everday. Start drinking as soon as I wake up and drink all day until I pass out.

From 1 years of drinking cool aid to Smirnoff and beer. You need to build up your confidence and start applying for jobs and interview. Maybe your marriage would improve if you stopped drinking and did something positive all day. Just because You didn't want you doesn't mean your wife or another employer won't. Time to man up and put down the bottle. You were good enough to get hired on by you and will get hired again but it is going to take effort on your part.
