Salesforce is Stable

Hey and I even know how to spell "Salesforce". Fact is that the salesforce turnover has been modest and normal for at least the last 6 months. Most of the positions listed below have been on Dendreon's website for several months. The only new position listed for several weels prior to 3/28 is Ft. Myers. If Dendreon were to show average rep turnover of 2 per month or 24 per year, with 120 reps in total this would imply that the average rep would work for Dendreon for 5 years (120 reps/24 turnover per year). The factual data below indicates that turnover is below this rate. Dendreon always posts all rep openings quickly to its website so as to rapidly fill vacancies and abide to labor and anti-discrimination laws. I have been a rep at Dendreon for over 1.5 years and have worked in the industry for 17 years. Dendreon is one of the best places I have worked for. I encourage prospective reps to apply for jobs with our sales team as we are paid well and I think you will find it highly fulfilling helping cancer patients live meaningfully longer. Good luck.

The great dilemma, it the stuff sold, people would join the sales force, if only there were a sales force, the stuff would be sold, if there was any hope the stock would be other than worthless, there would be a sales force, if there were a sales force, there would be a hope the stock would someday not be worthless

It goes round and round.

Call HR, pick a city nowhere near the ones listed, ask if there is an opening, they'll come back with something nearby.

The company is doing $320 in annual sales just 1.5 years since the manufacturing plants have been approved. That is a strong launch by any standard. Dendreon has a sales & marketing team 180 individuals strong.

Sales of Zytiga in the US have been declining. Xtandi sales were only $54 million last quarter.

Herceptin, the first monoclonal drug and used to trat breast cancer, has a very similar launch trajectory to Provenge, but Provenge has shown stronger results at this stage of our launch:

Feel free to call HR at any time and ask them whatever stupid question you can come up with.

Provenge is among a small handful of drugs that have demonstrated a survival advantage in metastatic cancer. Such drugs are always valuable.

The only thing "worthless" is your analysis.

.

I'm pretty sure they are selling several THOUSAND dollars worth of the stuff.

This thread is factual. The thread claiming "mass exodus" of sales is an outright malicious lie created by those that are desperate to try to harm a company that will with time move on to great success. Provenge is a totally unique drug, as the only approved immunotherapy, with a proven survival benefit and minimal side effects. With all the combination drug trials going on with Provenge and immune system modulators like Vervoy, anti-PD-1, and antibody CT-011 among other drugs that will likely significantly enhance the immune system's cancer fighting ability by basically "revving" up Provenge and taking the "brakes" off the immune system. It is just a matter of time before these studies demonstrate a real strong additional survival benefit of Provenge used in combo with other drugs. This will make Provenge an even more valuable treatment.

A few months back, most of the sales force felt as though the company wanted to "reserve the right to fire them at a moment's notice", there were all the warnings, performance improvement plans, etc. A casual reader of the board can see that this stuff has stopped. But, the effect lingers.

In that context, 10% of the sales reps resigning which it felt like the majority would be fired a few months ago doesn't seem so bad. It's never good, but it's better than should be expected.

Finally a reasonable voice! Best of luck!

Problem is that stating 10% of the sales reps resigning over the last few months is a total fabrication of the truth. All anyone needs to do is track changes to career openings on the company's website to see for yourself that claiming such is a malcious lie.

There isn't a problem. If you're an employee, you know what the truth is. If you're a candidate, ask for the contact information of 2-3 reps to contact before interviewing. If you're an investor and you're looking here for credible information, I have a great deal on a bridge in Brooklyn.

All openings are posted to the company's website to avoid potential discrimination and labor violation lawsuits. Just ask HR.

The company already has numerous multi-miliion dollar lawsuits against it. I don't think they're worried about a potential discrimination suit since there's no legal requirement to post openings. My understanding is they provide a pretty good severance to all exiting employees if they sign a nondisclosure agreement.

Haven't you heard that they settled all their lawsuits for a total cost to the company for only $2 million. Last year you created yet another fake crisis claiming that the lawsuits would bankrupt the company. Remember?

The mere fact that this bozo continues to justify or try to spin this whole issue is why the salesforce is leaving. It amazes me that the upper management pukes like the depinto's of the world think they can tell the salesforce something and they will believe them because they are what everyone aspires to be. When you hire smart represenatives they see through the idiots and have an amazing "bullshit detector" If management was honest and set down in a room with the field and encouraged honest feedback, they may be able to fix the problem. Unfortunately, they are too arrogant for that and revert back to their glory days in primary care.

And he also claimed that the company would be out of cash by now. Fact is that the company currently has $430 million in cash. Fact is that he is completely devoid of any moral fiber and has zero credibility.
