I have an idea. Look for another job. This is a tough job market but there has to be something better out there. It was obvious from day one Pernix did not care about reps and only cared about their stock. What WOULD a solution be to make us all happy? Pay us $10-20 per script of Zutripro. Why are we waiting until after the 2nd quarter has already started? I thought this was a merger. We are all one unit now. Everyone should be paid the same.

I am a rep who will be getting the 5k increase. Although, a couple months ago I should have been getting at least a 10k raise.... But I never got the chance to get a salary reevaluation. So I agree. Wtf.

I understand its worse for you Mr. High Salary. I truly hope you don't stick around for them to cut your salary in half. It's disrespectful. But... You were given the opportunity with hawthorn to always increase your salary if you worked hard and produced. I did just that, but will not get the same opportunity. I'll be stuck, like you, at 40k.

Lets all take a free trip to NOLA. Drink their "kool aid" (and by that I mean drain the open bar) then get out of this joke of a company. Who's with me? Because when it all boils down.... You may work with nice people, maybe you're even comfortable here, but this company is going straight down the pooper and there is no stopping it. Weak products, no one working on coverage, terrible pay, stupid commission plan, and idiot management. Get out.

How about you start by keeping reps salaries the way it is and bump up all reps to 40k if they aint already there. Tough enough many of us didnt get the promotion we were promised. Hawthorn reps are making this company a whole lot more, but how is it Pernix reps get $10/Zutripro script. And like poster above said, $10-20/script instead of that $8 prorated script garbage. This company will have worse things comin if salaries are cut and commission are at $8 or less scripts. You can say goodbye to the top writers and the best reps in this company!

So the salary was because we sold cough cold products to TX, LA, MS, IN, AR, AL, FL, KY, NC, SC, TN, OH, MI Medicaid? Wow! I could have sworn they were paying us salaries based on how much we made in our territory. But thanks or clearing that up for me, I guess I was a bit confused on the pay plan. When I signed on, I just heard- make money and we will pay you a salary based on what you earn- it will slowly come down if your yearly average goes down (fair). I didn't see the paragraph that said once you quit selling cough/cold to medicaid, your salary would be cut. You must be new and don't remember when we sold Utira-C, Hylira, promotic, Icar, zamicet and everything else that we sold that was not cough/cold in order to get our salaries. Speak for yourself and not all of please.

Management should tread carefully on the salary cuts. There will be an uproar if they in fact do decide on it. I agree that would be a really bad decision by management. They will in fact lose the best reps in this company, and those reps have built great business relaionships with these docs.

I for one am missing our old management. Bc this JJ guy seems to be quite the idiot. No coupons in the pharmacies...because...why? Yes, yes...this makes sense bc the pharmacist will never see the coupon as long as we dont leave any with them. I know half of these posts that look like the come from mgmt aren people pretending to be mgmt....but sometimes I think it really might be them. Which is just highly troublesome. How do you have time to post on cafe pharma? much less POST ON HERE. Its embarassing.

However, the way this company is going...it makes sense. Because instead of actually getting things done...youre trolling around on the internet. Maybe if you did you're job, us "entitled babies" would stop complaining on this site. Perhaps you could save some face...for now.

And if you are reading this---PLEASE dont try and be a Pernix Cheerleader at the meeting. all you will get is blank stares and rolling eyes. Be real with us. I left Hawthorn awhile ago and so glad I did. I made over 40k in salary after puttin a few yrs. I could see this would really affect half the sales force. 40k don't pay diddly and for reps that have been with Hawthorn for some yrs or really anyone makin over 40k that's a huge paycut! I don't see how anyone is still with this company if that is what they're planning on doing.

What are you talkling about? I make six figures, am an average rep (always had a $40k base pay), and I just go out and sell. If you run into a problem, fix it. You are a sales person. You should be able to sell ice to an eskimo. If not, maybe this is not the right occupation for you and this is your opportunity to find something more suited for you? Pernix always wanted to get away from cough and cold, maybe they should just give your products to the PED reps ( until that time comes), and put all Hawthorn reps out of their "missery" .
