"Maternity leave" is actually a type of short term disability insurance and HR can't tell you because the time off can be different due to what your doctor thinks your medical risks are. You may have required bedrest before delivering (or not).

As far as for paid time off for maternity leave, it is usually 6 weeks for a normal delivery or 8 weeks for a c-section. You can use FMLA for a grand total of 12 weeks off form work, but that will also eat up all your paid vacation first and then it is unpaid leave for the remaining weeks.

Here is something - absolutely not of mine:

In this thread, parts of postings #273 and #288 appear to be from genuine documents that are Company Confidential. In fact #288 even says that at the top. Now just because #288 is a blank form doesn't change its classification because the policy itself is what the company wishes to hide. And just altering or adding some of your own lines do not declassify it. The source document for #273 may have also been marked Confidential, but that portion wasn't copied. If the original is found and it is marked like #288, anything can happen. Hr, don't know what to tell you but good luck.
