Restasis Contract Sales Force

Hate to disappoint everyone but my Green partner is nice and seems knowledgeable. I have helped set her up when possible to help us both. Physicians understand it is out of my control. I’m making the most of it and hope to grow.

Thank you. That is the positivity we are looking for. If anyone succeeds you will.

If the two of you were comprehending anything written previously you would understand we are all doing the same thing with our green reps even though we don't agree with the companies decision. So surprise surprise, we all have the same chance of succeeding.

For the love of God man, are you actually reading anything other than the few posts that have been negative about the green reps?? The overwhelming majority of posts have said that the green reps are talented reps but the red/blue don't understand why they've been put in the offices they've been put in! That is the point here!!
The sales force was told OVER AND OVER that the green team was being hired to capitalize on opportunities in the field where red/blue hadn't or couldn't. Most territories have a ton of offices and the red and blue simply cannot call on everyone. EVEN THE GREEN REPS thought they were being hired to go to mostly these places to grow business. If we didn't think these people were actually good, knowledgeable reps, why would the red/blue think they could go to these offices and grow Restasis??
Just to be clear, I don't think any red/blue actually thought we wouldn't have any overlap with green, we just thought it would be much less than it is now. I'm not going to speak for everyone, but I know in my territory we feel like our green rep is somewhat wasted in these larger offices where they already see 2 of us and we don't get tons of time. We feel that this rep is wasted in those places BECAUSE THEY ARE A GOOD REP and we see that they could be doing some great work in other places who have had less share of voice.
You've decided that everyone posting here is "negative" and "ungrateful" for this "gift" of the green reps and that is just not true.
We all want what is best for the business and this aint it chief.

The other thing you conveniently never seem to address is another rep messing up our access, reputation and relationships with our doctors and offices. Offices can only take so many Allergan reps coming in and selling a 20 year old drug that they already know everything about. Was there a new study that came out that we all missed? Oh no, its the goblet cell density data that we haven't reminded them of in the last 2 years!

They definitely need a new rep in there asking them, "What is your dry eye protocol?", "When do you decide to write a prescription to treat their dry eye?", "How do you decide which dry eye treatment you are going to go with?" Are you kidding? I would throw that rep out of my office after answering the same stupid questions for 20 years. It's like groundhog day courtesy of Allergan. Lets not forget they actually have patients to see and things to do.

Thank you for reminding them of this. The negativity is minimal, as it all relates to the overlap and call panel. Let’s not forget that red and blue also have Glaucoma so why are we sacrificing access for one drug VS the entire portfolio when these green reps should have been focused on developing low volume dry eye offices and NOT Glaucoma offices? It’s all the call panel and overlap. It was not efficiently communicated early on and no one is standing behind all the errors in the call panel and no one is taking ownership at a regional level and above. The wasted resource is the targeting and the fact that they’re only paid on their bogus call panel only? Dumb AF.

Be more confident in the value you bring to the organization. Things should be no different today than it was when Pyott was here Those were definitely the days when you guys had swagger. You lived through Saunders and actually we came out at a better place. Keep your chin up. Be grateful. Don’t question every little thing. You are in the field to move share. Get it done.

Thanks dad. And what do we do when the offices don’t let us and our counterparts in anymore because it’s the 5th Allergan rep they’ve seen this month talking about Restasis?

Be realistic.

Exactly. We lose our Glaucoma voice and are still yet expected to grow despite those barriers. And no acknowledgement of access challenges other than keep doing it no matter what! Move in the ranks. Move the market share. Stalk the doctors in the parking lot. Foolish.

Let me ask you, what real purpose do we serve the organization, and even better yet, the doctor and their staff being the 3rd or 4th rep they've seen that month? Samples? Nope? PA help? Can't do that. Erx system favorites? Can't do that either. Cover studies? Not one that they haven't seen numerous times in the past 18 years. How do we have swagger and hold our chin up when we serve no real purpose of being there at this point. I'm sorry- multiple ones of us being there at this point.

Between covid and diminishing rep access in general because doctors are losing their patience- that was the prefect time to add another rep in the field to ruin it for those of us who were making it work and getting it done. We were grateful until this poor business decision.

What purpose do you serve? It is sad that you must ask. To that I will offer no response. If I were you I would re-examine how I am perceived by my physicians and do what I had to do to bring value to their practices. Maybe you are losing access because of yourself and not the Green team. And you expect me to believe you were not disgruntled before this decision? I really doubt it. Self reflection is the answer. Good selling!

This gentleman made some great points and suggestions. Happy selling!

Thank you. That is what I have been struggling to communicate to one or some of the posters on this thread. Being grateful for the additional share of voice. Not being critical of tools you are provided. Being positive. Your customers see it. It is evident who wants to be there. Things are not perfect but they are closer than most places.

Got shut out of an office today, first time in years here, as the new rep was “just there”.

Inundated.

Communication. Communication. Communication. Work with the Green team not against them. This is what I have been harping on for a week. This is not acceptable. The additional share of voice will be welcomed by our customers if you communicate and route correctly.

no I’ve heard it too. We just got samples! They were just here we don’t need anything. And if they’re a targeted OD by all 3 reps, forget it. Just WHY?!
