You'll know your fate in 90 days folks!
I think if you don't know your fate by now, you're foolish. Look at your numbers, and I'm not talking about goal attainment.

What are you referring to? Adult market? Volume? Abandoning the pediatric market is a huge mistake IMO. Market share will plummet as soon as we stop calling on some of these pediatricians.
To me, it's not even about rankings alone. You have to consider ROI. Even if you are at 100% goal attainment, if the goal doesn't make Shire enough money to warrant the expense it takes to keep you ( car, insurance, gas, lunches, storage, phone, internet, salary, bonus, health insurance, training, computer, etc) than they really shouldn't have a rep where you are. And the fact that they have had a rep there for however long is irrelevant.
I know it sounds harsh, but if your overall market is low or declining and/or your product volume is low or declining and has been doing so for a period of time than you should have seen the writing on the wall. There are regions and territories out there that are literally expected to acquire upwards of 5x that of other regions and territories. Regardless of how good a rep is in these lower volume territories, they simply cannot bring in the ROI that the higher volume areas bring.
I think that Shire may finally be realizing this. I know that there are a lot of great reps out there that struggle with difficult territories for reasons outside of their control. But does the fact that their ROI is lower than other's mean that Shire should continue to pay all that they do for these reps to keep their jobs?
Maybe I'm completely off-base, but I don't think that I am.
Yes, you are a complete dumb ass and would
Kill a company if you owned it. More later, but I need to eat.
Any thoughts regarding Yasiks memo about restructuring in the marketing department?
Well they are done with the marketing re-org. now it's on to the sales force. I have heard rumors that they would like to get this thing done sooner than later, which is good for the entire sales force.
Cuts to the salesforce will happen, just a matter of when. There are only 25 RD's right now!
Marketing people are just a bunch or over-paid groupthink losers. They don't generate any revenue and they are not accountable for their shortcommings.
Does anyone have a valid timeline of when they are thinking about rolling out the restructure to the sales force? I keep hearing different dates! Also, has anyone heard a reliable and valid number of how many reps will be let go? Once again...diff numbers floating around on that topic too!
My stress level is starting to rise. I actually like my job, territory and co-workers. I was just wanting some accurate info considering we have been left with no communication...which is the opposite of what we were promised.
