Reorganization?

Continue to tell yourself that the reorganization won't happen. We are going to have a downsize. I don't need to give you a source. If you are too stupid to listen to everyone, then you will have to wait for the phone call. The reduction will take us back to 350-400.

WOW...really genius. I don't know of one person who is denying a downsize. However, it seems to be the "know it all's" that toss out a number but never give a general source are playing with fire!

And why should it be? This med has been out for 6 years. We are not growing and we have no new information. Not downsizing would should lack of understanding of this marketplace.

The reorg should have occured during the summer, not during the holidays. Why holidays?

They want to squeeze another back to school out of the us, then let us go. They dont give a shit about us, they care about their own jobs because there is no way in hell they would make any where close to what they make, or have the positions they do anywhere else!

Protect your self is the name of the game, both in upper management and at the rep level.

The marketing team for Vyvanse might be one of the worst marketing teams of any billion + med on the market in the history of pharmaceuticals. They are worthless. Please start the re-org with them and bring the intuniv people over. They probably spend 1 month working on that dumb playbook that on one ever uses.

The re-org is the biggest joke. These people running ADHD have no idea what hte hell they are doing.

"We don't even know what it's going to look like" and "open communication" is what we hear.

why is shire done.....reorganization in the adhd, behavioral health arena is needed but a lot of opportunities with vyvanse indications down the road and regen med. I dont think shire is done.
 






Why don't we just Integrate GI and ADHD? Heard there are gonna be a lot of reps jumping ship in that division. I'd have no problem selling both. Im just saying I'd rather do that then have a lay-off?
 






I'm not saying to let anyone go in GI either. I'm just trying to figure out a way for everyone to keep their jobs. I love Shire and would like everyone to continue to work here. That of course is if there is even going to be lay-offs. We all have families and this potential development would put a lot of good people in a bad situation.
 






The re-org will leave about 400 reps and 45-50 Rds in behavioral health BU. Cuts will be made in late November/ early December. If you are in an area with multiple reps in a relatively small geography or have been middle to back of the pack in performance, watch out. Everyone else has nothing to worry about.

Is that 400 with the SCS team? Also I know you can't say who you are and what position you hold at shire but are you a reputable sources and did you post this info 100% certainty? I wish they would just tell us. I feel like the work Im doing today isnt gonna pay tomorrow. I can't sleep or eat, my nerves are shot. I've bled for this company and now I fear for my families future. Also if you know for certain what kind of severance does shire offer. I know I sound helpless but it's the way I kinda feel along with the majority of the sales force. I just wish upper management knew the impact this has taken on their people. There was a time when shire made you feel like family now I just don't know. If anyone has any positive reliable info it would be greatly appreciated. Please no negative comments I just don't need that right now. I am surprised at the amount of negativity surrounding some comments. It's disappointing because we don't need that right now we all need to stick together and lift up our brothers and sister in the field in these very trying times because unfortunately we are all we have right now. Seriously, get a hold of yourself. Shire is not the "End All Be All". Shire is not what it used to be, find another job. Take it from someone who has left Shire, the grass is greener on the other side!

If you feel that strongly, regardless of the "re-org" you need to possibly get out of the pharma industry as a whole. This is how pharma works now. You should feel confident about a job for 3 years and be ready for a change, either in territory or company. We make a lot of money, but we have little job security. We at ADHD have been spoiled by the decade run of two blockbuster drugs in XR and Vyvanse, but with generics entering the marketplace and a list of other issues, Shire is looking out for it self. I don't think there will be many cuts this time, however, in 1 year if we don't hit our number, that will be different. Talk to the sleep aid reps (Lunesta, ect.) they have been through cuts almost every year.

Good luck, but rememeber this last thing...You can't control it, so why worry about it? The only thing you can do is prepare your self.
