That poster is exactly the inhumane material that "rises" and then putridly spoils in any DM role, and are used appropriately as such.

Don't empathize, don't sympathize. Recognize DMs for the putrid, worthless, clinging and ruthless bottom feeders they are. Realize that it takes a very special kind of truly pathetic asshole to be able to drink the kool-aid while serving it to people from whom they endear trust. Then lie to their faces.

DMs are the worst of the worst cogs in a system of nothing but bullshit and poison.

They probably could have done without the 3 minute EOD zoom calling in which they were laughing before it started and then Jean Bennett said, “woo, what a day. We’re done wacking everyone we used to value and saw a lot of grace. The hallmark of grace is concern for others”.

This last zoom was the opposite of grace. An email would have sufficed. You just set the tone for the new organization.
 




















Any real surprises today? Any really good people let go?

Yes, my those who I know that were let go were top performers and dedicated to the company/products. I am mind blown by the decisions made, they way they were executed, and what’s to come for this diabolical company. Even though I’m still standing, I still lost. We all did.

A lot of people say really mean things here, and it’s really disturbing. I particularly “love” the vindictive senseless name calling, but it is what it is. I can’t wait to see the vipers come out and call me a twat, deadbeat, loser, Baby Boomer, Gen Xer, racist, homophobic, bald white guy, blah blah blah. Sticks and stones. This is a time for compassion.

If you want to appreciate just how messed up our industry is, consider the fact that we have an entire bulletin board that has been functional and profitable for decades devoted to providing an anonymous platform for employees in it to to speak freely and get information.

Ask anybody you know in another industry whether or not that is the case in theirs.

To those who lost their jobs today, it's tough but a blessing in disguise. Find real work with non-souless people outside a toxic stew. While today may be very hard, brighter days are ahead. Pharma is nothing but a black hole.

Move on, and far away. You'll be glad you did.

Layoffs are inevitable but the manner in which JNJ executed this one is abhorrent

making people wait 48 hrs for any information is cruel

To the remaining few , image is everything to JNJ make sure the credo survey reflects their callous behavior , especially the question “I feel secure in my job “

Wow thanks for that illuminating post. At least we can understand the third of the company part.

The severance letter included a comprehensive list of what position, band, and the age of the retained/laid off employee, and the number of each of those employees. It actually looks to be closer to 1/2 the company eliminated. This is preparation for end of times in 12-18 months.
