I find Lillian to be an incredibly bright and sharp business leader. The jabs at her are uncalled for. And like the previous poster, it doesn’t take long to understand what the job of a rep is like. Think about it, barriers to entry in this line of work is so low. What actual qualifications are needed to become a pharma rep? How many have actual healthcare or business experience? We are all very replaceable and until you and I gain skills that are so indispensable and unique, then these reorgs will continue to occur.
Healthcare in America is rapidly evolving, and I’m glad to be at a place where they are trying something new and adapting to the marketplace.
Do I think the way this recent reorg was executed sucks? 200%! Nobody should have to wait in panic for 48 hours whether they still have a job or not… Layoffs in general are terrible. But part of it is on us. Take on a new skill, develop a niche value add that will make you indispensable. How many of you are still scared of opening an Excel spreadsheet, let alone analyze your data in Wizard? Times are changing and you have to change too or get left behind.
this is why I am getting out.
