Job cuts due to Obamacare coming, like every other company cutting jobs and reducing work hours. Pfizer will announce everyone will work part time to under 30 hours and thrown to part-time employee status so your state health exchange will pay for your benefits from now forward and your employment will be considered contract status. all field employees will get notice and be, in effect, transferred to PDI in 2013, with the exception of some limited specialty. you will have to interview for contract posts at PDI. All will be accepted and transferred in whole, with exception of few less than performing. This is how BMS laid off Abilify reps too.

Why even bother going through layoffs again since we all know that the economy will crater due to Obama's reelection and the United States will cease to exist in 2 years. Right?

Layoffs are a part of everyday life at Pfizer. It's just a matter of time before it's your turn and these days they are accomplished very quietly - Pfizer leadership has perfectly stealth layoffs. Some people have even been forced to not tell anyone else about their layoff until the last day.

The solution to the problem is embedded within that statement- (RBD's and RM's). Do we really need all of these upper level management people? Contracting is done on a national basis and is on the verge of being outsourced completely. You can babysit reps with a computer now and check everything they are doing while sitting on your butt at home while your kids play in the playpen. Why do you need all of these people duplicating each others' work? Someone looking at reports of 6 states + 3 people looking at the same reports of 2 states = 4 people making upwards of $1 million collectively per year. To do what? Talk to ZS Associates every other year? Soon, this company will go through the necessary market adaptations but they continue to ignore the biggest drains on the bottom line
 








Amen brother. Sick of all the Rock Star, Ace Points bullshit that comes from managment. They have overblown salaries for doing what? Playing armchair QB? If there is any truth to Abbotts new management direction, companies will be so much better off. Reps will be more productive and not have to do the dog and pony show for their boss. I have a feeling the wagons will circle and management will start to watch one anothers backs. Metrics and all the other bs they have created shows little value. I have a feeling as long a s those at the top can continue to line their pockets with our hard work to show for it, nothing will change. Egos and titles have made these people think they are something more than they really are. With the upcoming Thanksgiving parades on the horizion, that is what they think of themselves. Full of hot air and nothing more than a larger version of something they are really not. Their solution is let's have a meeting and sign it to the company. How could all these ego fit into the same room? I think a conference call would be better dollars spent. It's become like a cult following. Person in front pours the kool-aide and everybody else drinks up. Convention of bobbleheads. Set the first one in motion and watch all the rest follow in agreement.

I love how the DBM's get all out of sorts when you are sitting at 115% for your portfolio and yet you are only at 9.8 on call attainment on 7-12's when you should be at 10.0. But wait DBM...7 of my 10-12's are NO SEES....doesn't matter you were supposed to hit 10.0 and since you only hit 9.8 you are a disappointment. Forget about your 115% the 9.8 speaks volumes and you are not measuring up.
