Rampant Ilumya TM Favoritism

If you are TM in East and in top 10 you get island trips to derm conferences, “extra” help to get new scripts by FL schmoozing Dr S D (anyone else tired of hearing about that) and other docs, Hub’s focus on your scripts, and better resources: MSL, FRM. When BM gives shout out to a single TM (Indy) on LinkedIn it’s slap in face because we all know what’s going on to get those scripts.
NOONE WANTS TO GO TO ORLANDO. Save money and do webinar. Plus Absorica team wants to kick our asses and I don’t blame them but it’s not the TMs to be pissed at.

This is crazy ... one field team saying another is so mad at them that they want to kick their asses.
Man, it sure sounds like it’s a great place to work!

Well the shit show clicks into high gear next week when calibration takes place. So if you feel discriminated against, you probably have been via calibration. #sucksToBeHere.

It’s a shit show. Every company has some issues at all levels but just look at high exit rate in all divisions just with Iluyma. Toxic!

I think you meant ‘not’ just with Illumya.

Turnover has been at a horrible, 3-4 times the Pharma norm. But what truly makes it even worse is that the people Sun is hiring are the unemployed career bottom dwellers.

Is calibration the same as forced ranking? Are these managers dinosaurs? Nobody force ranks anymore after a slew of lawsuits for discrimination. I believe the slew of discrimination suits that come from this will end Suns USA bid. So if my manager doesn’t like me...

I’m encouraged to bring lunches to the same offices every week. Couldn’t do this in the last few companies I worked for, not sure why I can do that here. Even heard a story that one of the reps is sleeping with a doc... what the hell is goin on here. Sun is a cesspool

Word is that if you have less than 15 BIs and less than 5 prescribers you are going on a PIP after the meeting. A manager from a different division told her rep that. Can anyone confirm that?

So that begets the question: how many reps fall into what category of BIs / #Prescribers?

For example, if there are 20% of reps that fall into the category of less than 15 BIs / less than 5 prescribers, and let’s say another 20 % with 30 BIs and 10 prescribers, does that mean:

A. Somewhere between 20 % and 40% of the reps suck
B. The organization cannot support any kind of decent execution
C. The strategy/pricing/access/ HUB are deeply flawed
D. The product is a dawg
E. All of the above

It doesn't matter. Leadership has told the top dogs "we have made improvements, but the reps haven't pulled it through." You are now at the point of being sold out by mid-level leadership that is looking to save their own ass for another 12 months at the reps expense.

The tolerance for incompetency amazes me.
What do you think Dilip is thinking about the performance of the whole business here ?

Where do you think the incompetency falls...territory managers, FRMs, Hub, senior leadership? All of the above?
I was with Sun a couple years ago and left. Don’t regret it. I’ve never seen such hostility during a launch and I understand. I talked to a TM in the east and this person is miserable from the blame game. Feel bad for people who are working their asses off.

Objectively, there’s not a function that functions. And there is no clear strategy for each BU (or its wrong). So if your strategy isn’t there, and you’re dysfunctional as an organization, it’s easy to see why thing are as they are.

Enough is enough.
If they’re calling out the field by name then we should start calling them out.

Apparently there is one Absorbica jerk in the North East that has been going around saying he’s gonna punch the fuck out of all the Biologic TM’s at the upcoming Orlando meeting.

What the hell is going on here?
