Quillivant XR

Pfizer cut QXR budget for 2014. Salesforce will be downsized to under 175. Don't know exact number or where cuts are being made. My guess is if you're in a medicaid state where QXR is on formulary you're probably good.

...and that's a guess as all of the above is. Team 1 had Conf call. Told to look for email within the hour. Then farewell to "x" amount. Anything else is all speculation. Downsizing is realistic. Contract elimination, not so much. Your head will spin with how fast they make this happen before the holiday. Best of luck.

Friday......Its over...Pfizer pulling many contracts this week......Hope they find a place for us.
I know they wont and we will have to go the unemployment route again.

Oh come on, they wouldn't cut a contract without 30-45 days notice. Besides JK "invited" us to a CC. Remember, the word "invite" is positive, as in, "I would like to invite you to my super bowl party, or I want to invite you to my Christmas party", etc, etc. Perhaps the news is positive, but even if it's not, the contract is not over. EPBU always gives 2 years for a launch. So, yes, there will probably be downsizing in our contract, but it isn't news given how poorly QXR has done. Best of luck to everyone. Just be prepared to take on a big geography given the sie of the terriotory will be very large. Look at Team 1---120 reps means multiple states, overnights, etc. But it is a job...until you can find something else. I truly wish everyone good luck tomorrow morning---and if my job is eliminated, then that means there is something better around the corner. Remember...God never shuts a door without opening a window. Good luck everyone and...keep things in perspective.

Not so true. I was on a contract with inVentiv. We were told on a Monday test we were to have a conference call at 5:30 on Tuesday. The entire contract shut down. We were all let go. They don't and won't give you 30-45 days notice. It is a contract. They don't owe us anything.

This is life in the contract world. Happened to me last December too. Worst part is I didn't look for a permanent position nearly as hard as I should have. Really liked my territory and my DM, decided to ride it out. Lesson learned the hard way. If you are on a contract you should always be looking for a new job and you never feel guilty about it. At the end of the day they don't deserve any more respect than they give you. This has been essentially a base salary sales job all year. I'm pretty sure most of us will land in a better place. Good luck to all!!

Hope you can slap yourself out of this in the morning. However, it would be funny if just a conference call.
