PLEASE FIRE Jake Nielsen, the keyboard warrior.

How in gods name has this guy managed to remain through the reorganization? Without a spreadsheet, he is completely lost. Since his involvement in gantries, everything has declined and by “declined” I mean people lose their jobs. His lack of fundamental market understanding has resulted in highly inaccurate projections and analysis. Because all who knew anything are gone, few can recognize the flaws in his assessments. Isn’t it clear to Essex and the leadership team where the real issue lies? What is the common denominator of all who got fired? Oh…the person feeding all of them bullshit numbers that they called only for us to fall on our face. Hoping Zach separates himself from this guy before he's gone soon also.

Zach likes him. You can expect more of the same.

This is the result of bringing on a VP that also doesn't understand how different our business is from the business he came from. We need realistic quotas or we will lose the few good ones left.

Nothing beats relying on a CAGR that includes COVID shutdown, COVID rebound, and a bunch of signed quotes for made up deals 2-3 years out to make your decisions. On the bright side he can seek guidance from those that were around before all that mess. Oh wait, never-mind they’re all gone….

I’ve been saying this for the past year. Stop making this Styker!!! We run our business completely different and take pride in our culture. We lost all that magic

Yes, very concerning to hear ZB is obsessed with looking at the CAGR without understanding the background.

How absurd is it that Jake had a seat at the table in moving out some great people who have really contributed to the business over the years???? Makes me furious to think about it. Comp plan is so complicated that they're afraid to get rid of him because they won't know how much they're supposed to pay us.

Wait, seriously? This made me nauseous

CAGR that includes allocation, Covid, Eviva shortages, and our new booking parameter’s implemented last year truly defies logic. But so is a leader telling hundreds on a call that his people come last to him in order of importance. That is totally in line with Jake’s comment on the other thread (Is this a good place to work?) “you’re not as essential as you think you are”.

It’s not possible for this division to be anymore dysfunctional.

Not really surprising that people come last to him. He couldn’t even thank the 9 RSMs he let go of by acknowledging how much their teams love them and thank them for everything they have done for the company. Some of those people have been award winners, culture keepers and have dedicated many years to this organization. Zero class. I was embarrassed for him.
