Phathom

So are we supposed to expect riding with our managers bi weekly? I thought Phathom wasn’t big pharma?!

Not sure where you're located, but on the west coast only a few reps were hired in each district for the first wave. Maybe that's why the field rides are more often? I start in the second wave on Dec 11th, but have been communicating with the reps in my district that have already been in the field. Their feedback has been very positive so far. Only thing that wasn't expected has been the ratio of GI to PCP targets. Phathom made it sound like this would be a GI speciality sales force, with select PCP's targets. That appears to be flipped-flopped and that's my biggest concern.

I was told these ridealongs are only as we get up and running. These managers need to look busy...each manager is different and some regions haven't even done any from what I am told. As for call targets, it's about 60/40 PCP to GI for me. Kind of what I expected. Maybe I'm the outlier but have enjoyed my first 2 full weeks here. Docs seem to be excited to learn about this drug.

I left this stupid industry for clinical research and nobody is kookoo there. I’m glad to see I did not miss anything from the whiney reps to the managers that create busy work to justify their 200k salary.
“Stupid industry” “kookoo” lmao you probably sucked in this stupid industry you are a fucking dork and everyone dreaded seeing you

I absolutely love it here. Doctors are excited to hear about this drug, my district mgr is a great guy….so far, I don’t have one complaint about Phathom. Absolutely you should take a position here if offered. It’s a small pharma company that is launching a new drug in a space where doctors are reacting positively….so far, so good

Agreed…yes it ALOT of primary care. But also GI doctors. Doctors are excited about the drugs. Coverage will get better. Management is great so far. I’m happy to be here! And if you are one of the lucky ones, take the job! Nothing is guaranteed! But I’ll take my chances with this great company!
