PAML to LabCrap

We can see the large meeting rooms in both the lab and admin buildings blocked off from 1-3 pm tomorrow, but nobody has sent out any announcements or meeting invitations.

If it wasn't tragic for the employees, it would be amusing if tomorrow came and went without an announcement. Like reading a doomsday prophecy the day after.

It really is frustrating as an employee to be treated with such disregard and disrespect. The executive team must have made the directors take a blood oath to keep quiet. Blatantly lying to an employee is so wrong, but it's quite obvious they have no morals or human decency.

Yes, I'm sure directors and senior managers have signed a non disclosure agreement and I'm sure if they disclose anything their severance would be in jeopardy. Does this suck? Absolutely. Personally, along with hundreds of others, I will have a tough time finding a job and a company like I have currrently with PAML. Let's just hope the FTC will jump in and say that this buyout would cause a monopoly (likely not).

Sadly that is a long shot. LCA would just point to Quest buying PeaceHealth Lab Outreach.

From personal experience, I can tell you that not all of the lab directors know any more details than you do. Having been through this before, the lab directors may (or may not) be notified an hour or two before the rest of the lab staff.

Meeting @ Providence SHMC went on details as such; They said nothing is final for 30 days or longer, bottom line is scatter and look for employment. Wonder what Providence is going to do with all that empty lab space?

Though it's been a loosely kept secret for a couple years, the actual event is traumatic. How are employee dealing with the news?
