Overtime lawsuit

anyone find it interesting forest changed our pay schedule and structure with this overtime lawsuit pending

no longer do we 86.67 hours per 2 week check, but now it is 80.00, hmmmmm....

sent my letter in today, 10 years with forest should be a big chuck of change

I cant remember the time I EVER worked less than 40 hours a week, more like 50-60 = pay up

There is no doubt this thing will settle. They will have to pay everyone overtime for a specific amount of time. Probably 3 years worth. Get ready for some pay out! Serves forest right. I hope there is a lot of revenue generating because this one will be a multiple million dollar hit. Mark my words. This is what happens when you treat your employees like crap.

Hey Einstein...the hours changed because forest went from a 2/month pay schedule (24 checks per year) to a scheduled of every other week (26 checks per year). The number of annual hours are identical.

This overtime suit is a joke. Everyone took this position knowing it was salaried, not hourly, and knowing some nights and weekends were required. Another example of people wanting more than they deserve. You want overtime pay? Then go work an hourly job for $15-30/hour, put in your 40 hours, and then start earning overtime pay. Enjoy the physical labor...that is hourly work, not pharma sales. And while you are at it, pay for your own car and disability insurance, and forget about paid sick days, cell phone allowances, and eating at the company's expense while you "break your back" serving all those lunches. What a bunch of crybabies....

so glad to mail this in and ready and willing to be put on the witness stand to testify......like about my manager and rd requiring a breakfast and lunch everyday even though my territory was two plus hours away. assholes! so that would mean i would need to leave my house by at least five thirty am to have an 8am breakfast ....
worked for a company thirteen years ago..non pharma....i was salaried and worked there for a year and was part of a class action lawsuit for overtime and ended up getting a check out of the blue for close to 3000.
i dont care about the money...i just want the company to pay for being so nasty!!

I worked for countrywide home loans as a salaried employee and they settled a very similar class action lawsuit and paid everyone of us overtime for 3 years. This was before I came to Forest. Not to sound rude but do your research. This is definitely no joke. This would not be the first time a huge company had to shell out millions to cover back overtime pay to current an former employees who worked for them during a specific time frame. Watch what I tell you. Oh it can certainly happen. Feel free to turn down your share if you like but I ran to the mailbox after I got my class action form. Signed sealed and delivered with a big smile.

I would take the rest of my vacation time from my current job to do whatever I can to bury this company, whether it's speak with attorneys or take the stand - anything. Forest will finally get what it deserves.

Here's the inside scoop: 90% of the posts on this thread are posted by shady paralegals at the law firm trying to gin up discontent within the companies that they are trying to target.

I was working for another pharmaceutical company -- the first one to get hit with this kind of lawsuit -- and have a close, personal friend who works for the legal firm trying to get a class action lawsuit going. He gave me the full, inside scoop as to how these shady law firms operate.

If you EVER see anything with the terms "class action" on it: run. Put it right in the trash. You'll not ever get anything at all. Ever. The only ones who win are the attorneys. The entire thing is a scam and a racket. It's the type of crap that John Edwards used to pull.

Think carefully about the consequences of your actions and realize that any "payday" will go only to the lawyers, who will then be emboldened to continue to parasite against other employers. And I do mean "parasite."

Now, watch the paralegal assigned to this thread reply multiple times refuting the words, or simply continuing to add "me too!" or "I'm in!"

You can set your watch by the predictability of these slime.

I received this in the mail last week and when I went to fill it out this weekend I noticed that my shred-happy husband had already gotten rid of it. My counterparts have all sent theirs in already - can anyone please post any contact info about the firm handling this case? And please, no cafepharma conspiracy theory posts. I really am just a rep, trying to add my name to the case. They sent the letters to former and current employees, so it's not a big secret or anything... So if someone could at least post the firm's name I can contact them directly and go from there. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!!
