I guess that depends on where your territory is ranked my friend. I am doing great and have been. I am moving on up too. If you keep being negative and feeding into the negative, you will do horrible. I came from a company that was riding high and things came crashing down to no fault of our own. I landed on my feet here and turned this territory around. Sometimes it just takes being in the territory and charm with the doc's. Kool aid or not, flying here or there, who cares. All I know is I am a honest person (not many in this industry) looking to provide for my family and make money! Now I am going to leave from my LUNCH at Starbucks, before you slam me for being on here, and go on my next call.

LOL. No one is doing "great" at OHD anymore. It doesn't happen. 6 years ago was when it was great. You have no idea what you missed out on and how bad it really is there now. You are just happy to be making $90k instead of the $70k you made in pharma. $120k was the norm during the glory days.

But if you like your job, good for you.
 






Speak for yourself, like you know what I make. Unless your my boss or above you have no clue what I make in base or bonus or commissions. I am doing just great. Thanks for checking in on me!

At my old company, my one boss picked location away from his "wife and family" and traveled all the time. He planned these POA's and meetings with another female worker so they could come in early together and stay a day later together. Everyone knew what was going down. We never once had a meeting in his area. Wonder why? NOT! Plus this was a great meeting in my opinion.

Your old boss must have been a dumb A. He may have drank the Kool-Aid, maybe his own, hahahaha. Are these people that stupid to think no one is watching? Really?? Like some of these reps and others aren't just waiting for the chance to sting them or turn on them when the opportunity presents itself. They (the bosses) really are laying themselves on the line. I guess if you want to put your career and possibly your family on the line then go for it.

different poster here--I'm thrilled that you're happy, but don't intimate that company veterans can't accurately guess where you probably stand monetarily. You've definitely got to be new and from a crappier situation somewhere else. Good luck though.

So you are claiming to make more than $90k? I guarantee you aren't. All of us veterans are gone from the glory days of making 6 figures. MJ got her way and ran us all out so she could hire a team of pharma reps who would be happy to cap out at $90k.

120K would have been an average year at Osteohealth. We made more five years ago there. But to the people that came from pharma (not sales people) and new to dental, it must seem like a good gig.
 






Maybe MJ likes some of us and bump us up to keep us. Pharma reps are great and we know it all, we know more then some would like us to have known but it makes for good conversation at meetings. The shock and awh of it is funny for some of us when we see a few of the faces again at these meetings that really had no clue. Funny what you will do and say to get a job these days and people you think would see right through you can't. Too funny.

Pharma reps = robots that enjoy being micromanaged. Follow instructions like a trained dog. Make calls and document. The only difference in Pharma you are not selling but passing out samples. What are you passing out now? I have not figured a way to pass out spin.

LOL. MJ wouldn't bump up the stars that made this company what it was(other than Jordana). She sees no value in individual reps. Reps are just warm bodies dropping off literature to her. That's why none of you make over $90k now. She got her wish. She got robots instead of salespeople.

I think its Paul Note and the Swiss crew who he is quite afraid of. If Geistlich were smart they would bring over the guy that runs Germany and give him his own independent of Ostohealth sales force. That, or bring back MC and VE who took the company to its highest levels. Then again they probably couldnt pay them enough to raise this sunk ship!!!

Regardless, it will only be saved if they get away from Shirley!

I don't think MC and VE "took the company to its highest levels" if so how? They were not in charge long enough to any impact. I will say that their management style is prefered over Batman & Robin. They were an advocate to their team and not micro management. I work under one of them and was left alone to do my job. The result was growth!
 






For all his faults, OHD was at its best when Joe was running the show. The beginning of the end was the failed launch of Gem. He blew those expectations so badly that it killed our comp plan and ruined the company forever. I firmly believe that if we never bought Gem, most of the team would be intact and we'd all still be making $120k+.

MJ and Joe deflated the entire sales force at a time we should have been excited to be out there selling.

JS was a straight shooter however the Gem 21 expectations were unattainable. I think Hans shoveled a lot of mallarchy. If they did not invest in Gem, I do believe everything would have stayed intact.

GEM was hot while Emdogain was unavailable due to import detention. The moment it came back, GEM21 sales deflated. The drs are going back to Emdogain because it is a better value and works well. PDGF will remain an Orthopedic product and thats just fine with Sam Lynch.

$100M worth of malarkey (not mallarchy) is fine with Hans - as is PDGF being wildly successful in orthopaedics/sports medicine... Hans and Sam breaking necks and cashing checks bitches. Go sell something!
