Opportunity with Bayer (Diabetes Care)

There is an open spot in PA, thinking of IVing- I'm a laid off pharma rep looking for a great paying job with minimal work and I hear from 2 friends that work here that this is the place.

I hear the managed care in PA is great, it would be nice to be in p-club without working too hard. Anyone been to p-club this past year from PA?

Thanks.

I worked for LifeScan for 8 years, top rep in the country 4 years in a row. Went to Hawaii 4 different times, but when managment changed,.......the whole place when to hell. The idiot in Atlanta who is the "Area Manager" is worthless. He may be fired by now. Name was "Rob",......and let's leave it at that. I got the hell out, started my OWN diabetic mail-order company,....and best thing I ever did. Have a team of 15 reps so far, and we are only 2 years old. I can't believe I stayed in HELL for 30 years before getting out. To hell with all the downloading, daily reports, sales meetings, and all the other BS thats with the big companies. Hope you all have fun in the mess. I would get the hell OUT now, because if you don't,.........you only have a life-span of 6-8 years before they will let you go anyway. Remember,.......it is "Employment At Will" my friend. That means that they can let you go for any reason, at any time, no excuses. You are 100% at their mercy. I can't live like that.

To keep it simple, this place is a dead end job. Lots of people have jumped ship this past year and will continue to do so. There is no money left to be made, bonuses continue to get smaller and smaller. This job actually requires very little selling skills.

So when is the next "restructuring"? Right after the holidays just like last year? I feel like we're all on a boat with a lot of holes in the hull......just a matter of time

So really does this place have a future??? I'm IVing for a spot right now.....

Go to your local endo/im doc and ask them this question, they will laugh and dig one out of the very back of the meter closet that expired three years ago because they never use it.

This place has been on a downward spiral for years now and we are just starting to see the effects.
