Opportunity with Bayer (Diabetes Care)

Being an new employee I was very disappointed to find out that there is no management development program in place here at bayer diabetes, has there ever been such a program? What are you to do if you want to move up? Serious answers only please.....this is concerning.....

What a dead end division, MM is priming it right now to be sold off in the not so distant future.

So in the past six months lots of reps have left the division and a few were laid off, several upper level mgnt has left as well. Where have these people gone?

I'd love to know because there are still a great deal of people here waiting to catch a ride outta here. Anyone?

MC and CH are at Bionome

I know a few that are at kimberly clark.

I am still aggressively looking and waiting for the right opportunity, I have found a lot on indeed.com, monster.com, and medzilla.com.

Good luck to you and the several others here at bayer diabetes, there are much better opportunities out there then being a DSS forever and working for a company that is continually dead last in the market. Not trying to be pessimistic but rather realistic.

Say what you want but face it this place is a sinking ship with no career development path for tenacious reps.

There STILL is no management development program, you can thank Tom Griffin and Sherri Fersteler for that.

And don't forget to use impact on every call- what a joke.

Pharma has a program to prepare reps for management called virtual rsm. It takes a while to get accepted into the program but it is a good one. Isn't this available to other parts of bayer?

Sad but true, those two idiots ruined it for everyone else. Bayer Diabetes is a great place is you strive to be a DSS your entire career.

bottom line...no development program currently present at BDC. Better yet....even if you were in the old mgnt development program there is NO where to go. BDC continues to CUT not expand. Get real people, just stating the facts.

You could work at Lifescan. The sales managers at Lifescan have to go into each reps home and count their sample meters and test strips because the senior management there has no trust of there own reps. Watch for them to have no samples to give offices by end of year.

no to all your questions. And fuck you , go work somewhere else mother fucker

Wow, I bet your parents are glad you are going back to junior high school soon so you can find better use of your time. This is so ridiculous I am embarrassed I even responded to this. Proof positive that not everyone who posts on this site is actually employed as a medical or pharmaceutical rep, they arent even adults.

See this is what really bothers me, don;'t get me wrong- I'm glad to have a job but this company and the industry in general at least in the us is declining. Any one who is under the impression they can build a career here is pretty naive and gullible.
