Oncology division

NY Accounts just sent message about staying closed indefinitely. I think they were about to allow appointments. They have stopped showing up for virtual appointments, just a nurse.

So with inflation at 6.8%, we will have to get a 6.8% raise or we have have lost money this year. If we do not get the cost of living raise, I will be one of the first ones leaving for another company that is paying better.

I’d say it’s more like a skipping stone company. People skip over your resume if Eisai is on it.

Nah…I got out to a start up oncology biotech. Everyone knows that Eisai sucks, so they didn’t even ask why I was looking to leave. The hiring manager said it made sense going to Eisai to break into oncology, and that it makes as much sense to break out. One thing I can tell you is you really see how dysfunctional and poorly run the oncology franchise is at Eisai.

No Eisai is in Primary care!!! They are screwing this all up, Oncology people can not be treated like Neuro people. That is why we can't keep people. Also, is anyone making their goals??? Not around me they aren't.

Treating oncology or neuro the way they continually do is why the turnover is so high.

Neuro is basically Primary Care...don't lump yourself in with oncology. Our neuro division is like the rep who sold Prozac where most of their scripts came from PC/IM, yet they called themselves "speciality reps" because they called on psychiatrists, or the statin rep who called on a few cardiologists. If a doc , who is not a specialist, routinely prescribes your drug, you are not a speciality rep.

That’s odd. Only calling on neurologist makes me a PC rep? Douche

Who you call on has little to do with it. It’s the the drug and/or the disease state. If the drug or the disease is routinely prescribed or treated by PC/IM you are not selling a speciality drug, and are not a specialty rep. You just happen to call on the specialist…just like the example the poster gave about Lipitor or anti depressants. They both had sales teams who only called on the specialists…that does not make them speciality reps. There are no IM/PC treating cancer…
