Leadership won’t compromise the health of their employees and family members for a meeting that is not essential! I guarantee nobody form Japan HQ would even consider attending the meeting in Vegas.

Meeting won’t happen in LV. Smaller scale meetings more regionalized will occur.

Like already mentioned LV won’t happen. A plan like the MSPEC division uses will be followed.

Maybe they need to make cuts and are intentionally creating a cause to fire a number of people? Fail to show for the meeting = grounds for termination with cause, no package

If that happens, take that as a sign of forthcoming layoffs. They want to see who doesn’t attend and cut as needed. Then once that number is figured out, they make a smaller cut to get up to their original target.
