NSM

Not surprising about OBU
It was one of JS’s downfalls at Genentech I heard. If he was smart, he would have learned...sounds like he surrounded himself with Genentech’s throwaways

Watching the Shire NSM going down from afar is entertaining.

I was at one of the small, fun and well-paying biotechs that Shire bought.

Heard all about the Swan & Dolphin shitshow and luckily found another job well before I had to go.

How can you people stand to work af a company that is so cheap and uptight that they don’t serve booze and decent wine at the bar? Hell, my primary care job 20 years ago had open bar and Silver Oak.

And howth Perry’s lithp?

I thought the meeting was OK. Again, remember these meetings are a tax write-off; follows a different budget line in accounting.

My thought is; as 4 yr Shire rep I was networking and building by “mentors” I came to something that appeared off to me..

Leadership continues to discuss “building out a new company(NBU). Need the growth to “fund” future endeavors in the NBU space.. umm, hasn’t the NBU already been doing this— without it, we NEVER get into Rare Diseases, Opth etc.

So I have to agree with many “mentors” those comments were HIGHLY OFFENSIVE to those that have been at Shire for a bit, and have already “built” the NBU and beyond.. I can totally see how that irks some of the senior reps.
